Olepiah

This creature does not exist for anything but the macabre and grisly. You may pray it'll be nice, but God is busy; and it's more than happy to help.

Olepiah, The Demon King, Cenobite of Revelry, Blackrazor, The Chitinous One, Mask, Old Blackfoot, Pattern Screamer, Primordial of Innovation, Fallen One, Satyrs' Leash, Nightshade, He-Of-Many-Legs, there are many names for just one thing. There is only one entity, but its appearance varies with the times. The picture featured is its usual appearance. This entity isn't living, nor dead, it exists somewhere beyond. Never inbetween. That would require it to have a birth, or a true death. In truth, this entity has persisted through the cyclic nature of the multiverse several times over. Its memory is longer than this universe has even existed, and it will persist beyond that as well. This entity is timeless in the truest sense, for our concept of time does not hold sway over it. It can appear anywhere, at any time of day or indeed period; and very rarely at request of anything. There are a few denizens who can actually contact this thing, but it is easy to say they regret that. This being doesn't exist within our bounds of what constitues sanity or insanity, its beyond that as well. It is truly unknowable, its intentions obscure, but a few things are known and certain about it - detailed below.

This being is obsessed with the canvas of the flesh, entirely. It views all living beings as pained existences, incomplete and needing of its innovative touch. This usually is sought through blood, pain, laughter and psychological torture. It drives some mad, inducing them to mutilate themselves for its 'amusement', but it doesn't do this for such petty things as entertainment. Some resist the descent into pained pleasure upon seeing it, and they get a physical touch beyond their own. It will use any and all implements at its disposal to rearrange this creature into something new and exciting, often against its will and always into something it finds beautiful. Some fight it, and while they and many others do so and try, none ever really succeed. Battles can lead to a victory in war, but when the war is not for resources or gain - is it really wise to enter that arena?

It can't be bargained with, it can't be reasoned with. It doesn't feel pity, or remorse, or fear. It absolutely will not stop, ever, until you are complete. Not perfect, perfection implies no room for growth, it despises perfection. There is always room to grow and improve, and its purpose is to improve. The unfortunate bit is its rarely for itself, it genuinely views its actions as noble and pure. It knows the pain it causes, and revels in it. Pain is a reminder one still lives, and it is something it itself hasn't been able to feel for an eternity.

Some mistake this as a need to be extra, or fashionable. They are mistaken. It simply likes to help, ..in its fashion. Some denizens of this place even worship this creature, and they are given powers beyond the universes' magical potential. The gifts it can give break reality itself, as such, the price to pay is sometimes worth the payoff. It enjoys civil conversations about difficult topics, especially over a squirming subject or willing experiment.
