Harper_Alts wants a modern mythology type tanuki boy.

To elaborate, spirits and yokai have to get with the times! Ancient times, they had it easy! Just spook a few peasants and that's plenty.

As time went on though, you gotta get with the times or get lost to 'em.

Ozuka opted to adapt. The tanuki spends most of his days getting tourists drunk and/or lugging them around on his curves. Sure, they don't end up looking as stupid but the result is the same.
