A sour looking girl raised in Eterna city, Ashlynn is quite fond of Pokémon. Treating them as the family she never had instead of tools for battle, while she does engage in battling. She gives her friends the care and affection they desire to the point she's considered selfless. Wandering the world with a goal to see all that she can, meeting new friends to travel with and even complete the Pokedex...

Ashlynn is very relaxed and mellow person, she's being called expressionless at times, but she's rather nice and polite. She tends to notice things others do not such as their well-being and behaviour.

She met her partner Hatenna during a storm, the strong emotions of panic and fear from the villagers sent the poor Pokemon into a fear induced panic. Luckily, they met Ashlynn whilst she was picking berries. The girl offered herself as shelter from the rain and a calm demeanour to enjoy. Seeing how relaxing Ashlynn was, the little being decided to travel with her, residing in her hood.
