Background - Life was normal for Richard when it comes down to it and getting the ideas of soon becoming a detective that solves more than regular mysteries, no he wanted to solve the really odd ones like in some of his books he read when he was young and even was on the path to becoming one as well. However like many hero tales, things started to become strange; One night he heard an odd call outside that lured him, well outside, and encountered his first paranomal creature; A rather towering grey humanoid, that blasts him with powerful psionics and knocks him out cold. He'd soon wakes up in what looks like his home, but after a bit of exploring he discovered he isn't home anymore, rather in some odd dimension or reality, where he shortly learned two things; Whatever that man blasted him with he began to develop his own psionic abilities and met a new friend, a odd creature later explained to be an 'Ambulantes Omngius', or 'Poptop' and he nicknamed Stella. It is in this odd and strange world he can least live his dream of becoming a Paranormal Detective, and a rather good one at that as no detail and stone goes unnoticed in his persuit for the truth and why he was sent here.

Human Body - While there is nothing speical about his body, aside from the ability to use Psychokinesis, he has been known to tank hits like a champ without slowing down least during the fight as afterwoods he might collapse.

Psionics


PSI (Psionics) or PK (Psychokinesis) refers to the psychic powers that are similar to a magic user's spells only coming from the mind, the power level of a given PSI move is designated by a Greek letter; in ascending order of power, the tiers are Alpha (α), Beta (β), Gamma (γ), Pi (π) or Sigma (Σ), and Omega (Ω). Each PSI abilities can be compartmentalized into four different categories:

Assist PSI
Brainshock α β - Confuses one target
DefenseDown α β γ - Lowers the defenses of a target or multiple targets.
DefenseUp α β γ - Increase the defenses of his ally or every ally.
Counter α - Reflects half of PSI, or energy, damage to targetwho used it.
OffenseDown α β - Lowers the offensive powers of a target or multiple targets.
OffenseUp α β - Increase the offensive powers of an ally or every ally.
Shield α - Encases an ally in a shield that blocks damage by half.

Offenive PSI
Fire α β - An elemental attack that can target a row of enemies. Effective against Ice-enemies.
Flash - Can inflict a random status ailment to each of the enemies in battle.
Thunder α β - An elemental attack that can randomly attack any opponent. Effective against mechanical-based enemies
Insight α β γ - A favorite thing PK, developed after intensely getting insight upon the world and his many foes. As the name suggests; He gains insight in both his targets and can figure things out in the real world, in combat once he gains insight into the targets's defenses he unleashes the PSI and lowers their defenses a bit.

Recover PSI
Healing α β - It removes one or more status ailments to one or more allies.
LifeUp α β - It recovers the HP of one or more allies to a range of minimum to maximum rate.

Other PSI
Teleport - When used, it allows the party Richard is in to teleport to previously-visited towns or settlements or even a new place if given a 'general location'. Movement speed gradually increases when Teleport is used, with teleportation occurring after Richard successfully avoids obstacles for long enough to reach maximum speed.

Metal Baseball Bat - A baseball bat made of metal that is good at swinging at things hard.

Yoyo - A small nimble green yoyo, can be used as an improvised ranged attack with a small chance to cause Confusion or can be used to grapple onto things.

Jellybeans - A rather large array of jellybeans of all sorts of flavors, mostly used as healing items to restore health, Psi-Points, and even status effects.

- Been Rping vocally for about five to nine - ten (9-10) years with a close group of friends before joining this chat

Stella; 1'02 feet tall. Has some similar PSI abilities like Richard most notably Telepathy and SizeAlter, though relays on more physical techniques and can even put it's opponents to asleep.


Being Richard has burned into his mind and dreams constantly about as he hunts them down.
