Pakute
This is FEF's fault.
"Hey … I'm Pakute … All of my friends say I'm a real … [heavy sigh] … Pakutiepie…"
"or at least they would if they were real."
Pakute is a very low-maintenance fairy. Where as most other sprites tend to spend their days zipping about like hyperactive children, Pakute prefers to just, you know … chill. In her home. Under the roots of an old, dead tree. By herself.
Well, she's not entirely alone. Perhaps out of loneliness, or just sheer boredom, she's started keeping a collection of places she's been. Although, as previously discussed, that isn't very many. Even so, she's quite meticulous about her collection. Using her special fairy shrinking magic, she doesn't have to bother with making to-scale replicas. She can just zap any locale she finds interesting and place it in a fish tank. Boom, a simple, easy way to keep whatever she wants with her, forever. Scrapbooks full of photos are for filthy muggles.
This method allows Pakute to shrink herself down and revisit any place she wants, any time she wants. It even allows her to talk with the people she's shrunken down, too. Oh, did I forget to mention? She shrinks the people down too. It's become more of a zoo than a collection. To Pakute, it's like the fairy equivalent of capturing action figures. The other fairies call her a nerd for it, but Pakute doesn't mind because to her it's almost like having real friends … r-right?
Pakute's not really predatory by nature, but she's definitely eaten her fair share of shrunken treats. The most common offense is running away. Understandably, she can't just let you try to escape her and NOT punish you, that would send the wrong message to everybody else, and soon they'd all try to escape, too. Maybe she'll spare you once if she really, really likes you … but don't bet on it.
The other trick about Pakute, is she's a real stickler for finding things in "mint condition". She deals with people who have notable scratches, gashes, and scars like human collectors treat figurines with nicks and defects - she eats them! (editor's note, google check to make sure humans actually do that)
Fortunately, Pakute has pretty bad eyesight when she's not wearing her glasses, so smaller cuts and bruises are easy enough to hide. Also, if your defect is cool-looking, she might keep you anyway. Just be warned that Pakute has a very loose grasp on what hoo-mans are actually supposed to look like. So it's totally possible that she might mistake something innocuous like a tattoo as some sort of flaw. For the longest time she kept angrily eating a bunch of otherwise-healthy people, frustrated because the humans she was catching had these strange, tumorous bulges between their legs. Boy, was that an emarassing mistake…
By now you might have noticed that the text has been gradually increasing in size. Or, wait … are you actually shrinking? Well, don't be alarmed. Just wear some long-sleeved clothes and accept your new home for the rest of your life, and you'll be safe … probably.
