Patchouli

Fanchar played by Solan. Please note, this character is almost exclusively for story-based roleplay; if I'm on as Patchy, it means that I am 100% not in the mood for vore, and likely not even for sexual RP.

Patchy's theme!

Patchy on a more... magical sort of day. <3

Modern Pachery~

The famous librarian of the Scarlet Devil Mansion, Patchouli is a youkai magician who has long ago mastered the magic of "shachuu" (meaning, roughly, "without temper"), leaving her effectively ageless. Her true age is unknown, but considering Remilia's birth lies less than a century after Vlad Tepes', she is likely a number of centuries in age, despite appearing roughly in her twenties. She is one of the mistress' few true friends, and one of only three beings in the entire mansion who is not her servant in any capacity. (The other two are Koakuma, who is a familiar answerable primarily to Patchouli herself, and of course Remilia's younger sister Flandre.)
In terms of power, Patchouli is at her peak a formidable opponent, possessing more spellcards than any other known resident of Gensokyo, though even at her best she can only use three or four in a row. This large number of spellcards gives her a strong tactical advantage, especially if she somehow has advance knowledge of the opponent; she possesses spells revolving around the five Eastern elements and nearly any possible combination of them. Her sun-based spell, Royal Flare, is regarded as one of the strongest spellcards out there, surpassed only by EX-bosses in raw power and intricacy.
However, Patchouli has a severe drawback in that she suffers from both anemia and asthma. This often leaves her unable to fight at even half-capacity; at times it has even left her so debilitated that she cannot even recite her spells properly, ruining the spellcards' effectiveness. This leaves her to be, while still quite a versatile opponent, decently low-tier in effectiveness. And, after all, even at her best she has never won a match against the infamous black-white, so perhaps she isn't that unstoppable.
In personality, Patchouli is somewhat reclusive. This does not mean she is cold, however; she is fairly close friends with Remilia, respects Sakuya and is somewhat friendly to her, and shares the same disdain for Meiling's narcoleptic performance that everyone else in the mansion shares. She has a few friends outside of the mansion, as well, and somewhat of a fondness for the black-white, as she continues to call her. In general Patchouli values quiet and reason most of all, regarding most of the mansion's residents and staff as frankly insane, especially after the move to Gensokyo. Teatime tends to be her favorite time of the day, whether alone, with Remilia (and usually Sakuya as well), or with a rare visitor to her sanctum. She generally remains in her library, rarely venturing outside of the mansion even to visit others, although something lately has been tempting her every so often out of her usual perch and down into the Underground...
The library itself is an enormous room stacked with bookshelves. Many of the books are in fact grimoires written by Patchouli herself, although she also has a fairly extensive collection of rare books, one of the rare things that can tempt her out for at least a little while. The books are fairly lovingly cared for by Koakuma, a succubus conjured by Patchouli decades ago and bound to serve as her familiar and first line of defense against intruders ("rats", as Patchouli is wont to refer to them as). Patchouli also has several wards and alarms on each book, meaning that she can sense books being stolen from nearly anywhere in Gensokyo, even as far off as the ghost shrine Hakugyouroku, and almost always will know exactly what has been stolen... not that this deters the black-white from popping in every now and then to "borrow" a dozen or so.

(Please note that this character is based to the best of my understanding on ZUN's works, but has also developed somewhat through RP, so she will not necessarily match exactly to how she was in Embodiment of Scarlet Devil.)
(Also please do not think this profile falls into the usual trap of making Patchouli one of the witch's "harem"; while she regards her friendly neighborhood burglar with fondness, it is more of a friendly regard than outright love, and an appreciation for the bit of orderly chaos that her visits bring to an otherwise outright insane mansion run by a ten-year old lolita vampire and staffed by a narcoleptic Chinese martial artist and a knife with more than one allusion to Dio Brando in her powers... to say nothing of the often batshit insane vampire locked up in the basement. An occasional danmaku duel with an ordinary witch and thief is relaxing to say the least.)
