A perfectionist, he's the sort to slip in, and out, unnoticed. Often in disguise, or, more likely, after weeks casing the place from the inside, having gotten a job on the grounds of the place he is to rob blind. Of course, it's rare that he steals EVERYTHING... he's more of a contract thief. he'll steal, for example, important documents, small treasures that have sentimental value that you'd really like back, please, and trophies of business conquests... or those trophies of, ahem, sexual conquest that you'd really like back, please. But, simply put, he IS the best.
Older than he looks by a fair bit, Paul is a career thief. He's had a lifetime honing his skills in regards to stealth, lockpicking, disarming traps, and taking things that don't belong to him. Skilled as a pickpocket and as a burglar, he could be an excellent adventurer... but for one thing.
See... he prefers to ensure his skin stay intact. And, preferably, firmly in its proper place over his muscles. And, frankly, he KNOWS who he'll be making an enemy of in the city, as opposed to in the wilds, or in some old ruin. He does NOT want to, say, awaken a guardian spirit of some sort, or piss off a wizard, or, heaven forbid, be asked to steal from a dragon. NOOOOOOO thank you. He's happy pissing off merchants who don't know the first thing about him, and lesser nobility.
Of course.... meeting him? You'd never know who he was by reputation. The thing speaks for itself, in that way. He looks like any other elf, or half-elf.... and even he doesn't know which he is. It doesn't really concern him, though. He's well enough off to be happy, with a nice little shop that masks his real business.
5'11, lean, and toned, with caramel skin and black hair, and stunning green eyes often hidden behind amber lenses, he's quite the striking specimen. Good-looking, well-spoken, with a quick wit, he's a likable sort! Even if, if you offend him, you might find yourself mysteriously missing your money...
