Throughout many Netherworlds, a story is told. The story is that of a human girl who fell from grace and became one of the most powerful Overlords in existence.
Long ago, in the kingdom of Paprica, a girl named Prier lived, an orphan who worked at the Church of the Holy Maiden. Prier was sixteen at the time, an apprentice demon hunter, but she was well suited to the task.
Prier had a good heart, but she also had a very intense temper. She was very impatient and selfish, and very violent. She was strong, though. It was said she could kick a reinforced door clean off its hinges with a single strike! Her preferred weapon was a baton.
The legend goes that Prier, in order to destroy demons, had entered the Netherworld through a dark portal. Demon after demon fell before her, and she was enjoying herself just a little too much...she absorbed their blood and bitterness little by little until she herself became a terrible demon and fought her way to the top to become an Overlord. It's unknown how many of her abilities were retained, but she still carries that baton...
Now she is known by many as the Fallen Maiden. But it's just a story, right? A legend? No way it could be true...
