Present

Age: 19

This version of Lucina is the one primarily seen during the plot of Fire Emblem Awakening. The daughter of Chrom, the Exalt of Ylisse, she arrived in the present from a future in which the world was unable to defeat the Fell Dragon, Grima - now seeking to prevent its resurrection in the present and save her time, all while aiding in the war against the neighboring country of Plegia. Lucina is a natural-born leader, headstrong and usually calm, with the occasional outburst due to the severity of her situation. Since, depending on the relationships between members of the Shepherds, she can either be one of many children who escaped to the past, or the sole survivor of her bleak future, Lucina can be quite reserved, sometimes not wishing to divulge direct details of a person's future, or her life after Grima attacked. Some may see this as somewhat stubborn, as she's working to undo that future, and the more details the group have would surely help them, this is just the way she is. She spends many days either in combat, training in the courtyards of the palace or the camps set up by the Shepherds, or strategizing by her father's side. As her relationship with her father was never that solid in her time, Lucina finds herself desperately trying to restore that bond while she has the chance, and form the connection with Chrom she never had in her youth.

I was racking my brain for a bit trying to figure out how I could make this version of Lucina a predator, and I think I came up with a few ideas;

Peaceful Future

Age: 20

This version of Lucina is the one born during the present events of Awakening, who, due to the actions of her counterpart and allies, grew up in a time of peace, not having to worry about the threat of the Fell Dragon. Because of this, Lucina or Luci as I call her has developed into quite the spoiled brat, often spending her time in bed, gorging on various banquets, or bossing around the hired help around the castle. Her parents have become too afraid to speak against her, as she's collected a tome from the royal library, and now possesses the ability to consume those who oppose the future Exalt.

I think Luci could very much benefit from canonplay or crossovers with other series, as there are the Dragon Gates and Outrealms - so I like to think that kind of stuff is never out of the realm get it of possibility with Fire Emblem characters. But especially with other characters from Awakening, I think it could help show just how much Luci's relationship with the Shepherds varies from her original counterpart. Is she a bit of a dictator or tyrant? Yes, but she's mostly just a spoiled brat, and if one of the Shepherds were to, say, stand up against her and try to discipline her, try to get her to act like the original Lucina...I don't think she would even hesitate to eliminate them.

Ylisse's Future Exalt

Age: 25

This version of Lucina is an older version of the one who arrived in the present from the future, and has since returned to her own time, ascending to the throne...or at least, the remnants of it. With most of her people having been slain during the Fell Dragon's initial attack, Lucina has spent the past few years helping those who remain recover, as well as slowly working to reform her country as some sort of world power. This is intended to be an older, wiser, slightly more endowed version of her original self - but one who now burdens the responsibilities of her country directly on her shoulders, and without aid from any advisors or friends.

While this Lucina is indeed older and wiser, the weight of leading her country and the guilt of being initially unable to protect it have taken their toll on her. While giving off a motherly, kind, and strong aura in the face of her people, when alone, she's somber, cold, and fearful. For she knows that if she were to fail now, the legacy of the Hero King and his descendants would certainly fade from history, all except her. Nobody would know the full story of the country of Ylisse, just that its last ruler couldn't save it from the brink of despair. And with murmurs of a country from beyond the sea taking interest in conquering Ylisse for its remaining resources, she may just begin to get desperate, and do anything she can to prevent that from happening.

Modern

Age: 19

This version of Lucina, last name Archanea, is one of my own creation, set in a modern setting for those who may prefer one over the fantastical land she hails from. This interpretation of the character is from a small European island named Ylisse, though has moved to England in her teenage years to pursue a potential career as a professional swimmer, or an author. She can't quite decide, and that indecisiveness has led her into a somewhat carefree lifestyle, feeling in no particular rush to figure out what she wants to do in life - much to the dismay of her parents. Lucina, however, simply lives her life as she wants to, spending days helping out in her community, simply lounging around on her couch and brainstorming story ideas, or playing one of her favorite tactical games, TearRing Saga: Chrono Crisis Saga (and if you know anything about how TearRing started...) Due to her physical activties Lucina also eats a lot, though thanks to her metabolism, her hearty meals don't show up on her figure. To be expanded.

Vessel of the Fell Dragon

Age: Redacted

This version of Lucina is one from an alternate future of my own creation, where she was born as the result of manipulation and hexes performed on her father by the dark mage Tharja who is also one of my favorite characters. Growing up in the country of Plegia away from her father, who never knew she even existed, Lucina was raised to resent him and the beliefs of his country, quickly being raised on Tharja's twisted beliefs in her youth, as well as the art of witchcraft. When the time came to attempt and resurrect the Fell Dragon, Lucina was chosen as its vessel. Now purely corrupted by the agent of chaos, she traveled back in time to severely weaken Naga's forces in an already tense era, and take the world as her great conquest.

iIt would be fun to play this version of her either before or after her conquest, as she'd definitely be a dominant character with how easily she'd overpower her adversaries. And since this is a version of Lucina possessed by the Fell Dragon, I'm considering giving her a draconic form. Not a full-on dragon, granted, and definitely not an athro dragon either, but probably more of a demi-dragon form. Could be neat.

Another idea I have on the mind is this Lucina or Grimcina as I may call her occassionally using portals and whatnot to travel to different worlds and continue her conquest. As fun as dominating Naga's forces in the past may be, who's to say she can't branch out from time to time and enslave other realms?
