So what happens when a drow empire finally ticks off the wrong folks and find their smug attitude towards technological advancement challenged? Well..in the case of the Heavenly Empire, you get a serving of humble pie on a galatic scale. The Expanse struck a dire blow against the Empire by killing all of the men with a mysterious super-weapon, leaving the ruling class without their traditional under-class to support the runnings of the empire...oh and also no way to reproduce in a way to allow for pure-bred drow. What's more, their ancient enemies of in the Diluvian Alliance captured the royal family to conduct experiments on what everyone considered to be a dying species~!
Unfortunately the Alliance underestimated just how open to attack the Heavenly Empire was and a rescue attempt was launched to save the royal family but sadly it was too late. The only one left was Princess Claire and she had been...altered and endowed with a rather difficult to hide member. At first her people despaired at how their innocent princess had been ruined until something of interest was discovered..Princess Claire was quite virile. With hope renewd that their people might last beyond a single generation, Princess Claire was made the acting authority of the Empire (no one trusted her to rule at her age) while she was designated the Heir. For everyone. Genetic treatments increased the princess'...capacity to the point she could be harvested for her seed which, when ran through certain radiation treatments, ensured a healthy rise in the drow population.
Assuming a male is ever born, no luck so far.
Instead, to keep her happy, Claire is largely given free reign to wander the galaxy aside from her..milking sessions so long as she allows a protective fleet to follow at a safe distance. That was how Claire discovered how to skip the radiation treatment for her seed...though the galaxy is a little emptier each time she does this. Once the Empire found out well..they almost ritualized the act of the Princess feeding her sac to 'adopt' other people into the Empire.
Short version: She's the unofficial 'queen bee' of her people right now. Very well protected but not super in control of her own fate. Cock vores folks to be milked for the betterment of her Empire.
