History
Years ago Lin Cherry started her Pokemon adventure with her Purrloin. Her neighbor Luna Starlit also started her adventure and the two made all kinds of memories on their way. Little did Lin know was that Luna had slowly fallen in love with her.
Later, in their twenties Lin watched helplessly as someone had challenged Luna in front of a church for her hand. But was relieved when she beat her opponent and answered no to their want to marry her. Lin not wanting to chance losing her quickly stepped up to challenge Luna. Summoning out her Liepard she was ready to have a try. However, Luna was winning. With one Pokemon left Lin was desperate to win. Much to her surprise just as she had summoned out her Venonsaur Luna did something that was unheard of. She forfeit the match. Stunned Lin didn't know what to do... this meant that Luna had lost the battle and was Lin's then and there fiancee. She asked why Luna would do such a thing as she walked towards Luna. Luna's answer was as surprising to her as her forfeiting the match. "Because I'm in love with you." Lin bent Luna over backwards and planted a long lasting kiss on her lips before taking her into the church and marrying her.
13 months later Rachael was born. With the exception of having her eye color Lin thought Rachael looked so much like her mother. To support her new family Lin became a Pokemon Geneticist.
Lin now 25, decided to take her five year bride on a wedding anniversary trip. However, the private plane crashed in the mountains of the Kanto Region. Lin and Luna survived, though Lin's leg had been badly hurt in the crash. Luna found them shelter in a cave near by. Luna attended to Lin the best she could, not revealing her own injuries. After two days Luna passed out from blood loss. Lin tried for a day to wake her bride and tell her she was fine. But she never did, unknown to Lin, Luna had gone into a coma. After a week Lin weak from hungry decided she had one option to live... cannibalism. She stripped Luna down and prepared her body. Using tools she had Lin carefully removed and preserved Luna's head vowing one day her genetics research would allow her to bring Luna back. A day later, she was rescued.
Cursing herself for not waiting one day this would haunt her and drive her work. Often times as Rachael grow up she would mutter "One day... just one day".
After a few years and lots of Psychological help Lin know understands that if not for her act the day prior Rachael might have grown up with no parents at all. Lin cheerishes Rachael as she's the only piece of Luna she has left.
