As a young girl, Psigil was always obsessed with the supernatural, the eldritch, and the possibility that there was more to life than what was seen by the common man. For years she had studied myths and legends to finally discover the truth to the world; that everything around her was merely a facade of how the world truly worked. No one else could ever understand or rationalize her obsession, not even her family or what one might loosely depict as her friends. Though after countless hours of searching, she finally found the exact thing she was looking for. The Order of the Burning Eye. A group of cultists that worshiped what they believed to be the one true god, who would one day awaken to obliterate any who dared to oppose it. Though there was one setback to the plan. Their god had no tangible form on the mortal plane, and would require a vessel to be able to materialize. Psigil had all but convinced herself that she would be chosen, dedicating the rest of her existence into becoming the ideal host body for her beloved deity. But she was never chosen. None of them were ever chosen. Driven by impatience and greed, she slowly tore apart the very cult she had relished, killing off every other member one by one until she was the last one remaining, so that her god had no choice but to choose her. And yet still, nothing ever came of it. It soon became clear that she had to do more to gain their favor. Sacrifices needed to be made, and she was going to find a way to carry them out all on her own.
