Background
Rasorn was still young when the kobolds raided her village. The support that the kobolds expected never arrived, and they were left alone to face the angry and comparatively well-armed villagers. They soon learned how hopeless fighting their way to safety was and looked desperately for a means of escape.

Rasorn’s parents were out of the house when the kobolds came in and quickly barricaded it. They had told her to stay hidden while the attack was underway, but curiosity at the sounds from the main floor caused her to come down to investigate.

The monsters quickly took her captive, and used her to escape. Her parents resolved to rescue her afterwards, but those plans were disrupted when another monster tribe attacked.

The kobolds quickly discovered another problem when they escaped Sylvan territory. Now what were they going to do? They didn’t want to kill her, but they weren’t entirely comfortable with the idea of sending her back to her people.

Present
The kobolds eventually let her live and work in their village, and were delighted to see how obediently she carried out each of the tasks they assigned her to. They also were quick to acknowledge the intelligence she inherited from her Morkis ancestors.

This trait helped her greatly in advancing in the ranks of kobold society until the old king died. Desire to avoid civil war and to stave off outside invasion led her to be elected to fill the empty throne
