The bears were here before you, and if they have their way, they'll be here long after. Raura is a North American Brown Bear who has taken a mostly human form in order to engage with the predominately humanoid society and learn about the world. She has a general dislike for humanity and all they've done and feels that the best solution to this problem is to just eat them. Despite being only 5'6" human form, she still possesses the mass and strength of a 350 pound grizzly and can easily eat her prey without transforming back.
