Reginald

This profile is copied from the old chat, and is going to be undergoing some HEAVY revision. WIP, in other words!

Reginald Westing. A blue-eyed, art-bag toting youth in his mid 20's. Standing at a somewhat diminuitive 5'4", he’s of a somewhat lanky build. His clothing is nothing special: a long sleved, dark-blue shirt and coupled with some slightly baggy kahaki pants. He's also wearing a pair of light blue sneakers, with a pair of cat-ears and a tail. A fairly standard demi-human neko.
The child of an Engineer and a Mathematician, he comes from a rather stable family. His parents never divorced in a traumatic breakup, nor were they killed in a tragic accident, nor were they taken hostage, nor did they abuse or reject their son for his anatomical oddities. He was raised by loving parents, and lived a relatively normal life. There's no sourcery in his family tree, not lineage of witches, no mad-scientist uncle, no aliens masquerading as humans being his ancestors, no nothing.

As far as he knows, anyways.

Still, his ears and tail are an unexplained oddity. While demi's aren't too uncommon, neither his mother nor his father share these traits, nor do they share his enhanced sense of smell and hearing. It made some things in life a bit awkward, but it didn't really alter anything too much in his upbringing, save needing to modify the ocassional pair of pants.

To the surprise of Reginald’s parents, he does not share their passion for math and science. Certainly, he’s *interested* in both math and science, but his true love lies with the arts. Specifically, he loved to sketch, and draw, and paint, and in his youth he frequently carried a rather large drawing note-book everywhere that he went.

After struggling for a while to turn him towards more scientific disciplines, his parents finally caved, and agreed to send him to an art school, after he'd built up a portfolio. But that was some time ago. Art school came and went, and there were no massive big breaks, no studio jobs.

So Reginald came back here, to the plaace he'd built up his portfiolo, working a part-time job at a local bakery while he freelances in his free time. He no longer dreams of the big break and becoming famous-not because he's become more cynical, but because his dreams and wants have *changed*. He's not unhappy with how his life is now, save for the ocassional money stresses, and, well, dangers that lurk within this town. But he's navigated it before, and he'll navigate it again!
