Assuming you aren't ready to die for various reasons, hearing that quote should be enough to send shivers up your spine. Rei Shinki is a shinigami somewhat gone wrong. Crafted by Shinki to act as a perfect afterlife system without the need of several judges and such, her creation was flawed, resulting in a greedy, cruel being. After being rejected by her maker for no chance of redemption with no afterlife to govern, Rei has taken an intense pleasure of reaping people who appear at the top of her list and an even higher treat in gulping down their soul. There is no pleasure higher than that to her~

Personality
"Don't keep me waiting. I got a quota to keep and a nice plump soul should fill me up nice for a while~ After all, compromising the balance between life and death for a selfish reason such as yours is against the rules~"

No compromise means absolutely no compromise. Ever since her creation, Rei has always been quite a horrible person and afterwards hasn't fared any better. Upon meeting her next victim, she'll state her business quite casually. If this is met with rejection, which it often is, that's when everything begins to roll downhill. Taunting and mocking actions are very common around her, often jeering at her prey and explaining why they can't be passed over for more time to finish what they didn't do. Hence why she takes her job very seriously and thanks to her persona, it's all too easy to crush any moral reasoning. So, all in all, she can be called a cruel person with a twisted love for her job. But that's more like a compliment to a sadist like her~

Appearance

Breaking away from the old cloak of "reapers," the shinigami wears an obsidian dress laced with red here and there that extends to her ankles. However, with as many years as she's been alive and eating, it hasn't been doing a good job at holding back that ever expanding pudge of hers. With every fattening soul she sucks down, it becomes harder and harder for her dress to keep it all in, tears in her dress being quite common, each showing a soft piece of her flabby body. Already her bloated midriff is clearly visible through a forced rip, seperating her lovely dress into a upper torso and a lower. In fact, she keeps the dress this way, loving how each torn opening shows off her magnificient pudge, especially her large tummy. Makes it all the more easier to show off where the end awaits and feel the satisfying struggles of a rowdy victim~ Along the hem, drawings of the Sanzu are visible. Those who are aware of the symbolism will know that she is now an embodiement of the very thing she used to watch over. As a shinigami, her normal red eyes have adopted a black sclera, making her all the more fearsome to have waiting for your soul. And as with every so-called "death god" or "grim reaper," Rei possesses a trusty scythe, quite spectral in its shape. Seeming to fade in and out of existence while being cold to the touch, this number one trademark seems to set the atmosphere of fear quite well in addition to her presence.

"You'll put me in my place, eh? Interesting~ But be warned that fate has already been written. And you shall know the meaning of an inevitable victory and defeat~"

When a name reaches the top of her list, it's time for a reapin'. Fortunately (yes, that's a good thing for Rei~), not every one wants to go just yet. And even better is that some people have the audacity to actually fight against her, which in turn is fighting against Death. But they'll learn the power of a prime reaper soon enough...

Immortality: Rather an aspect of the universe than just some deity, death will always exist. Being death itself, Rei is highly invincible against all things and will never disappear for good...

Duties of Three: Rei can split herself into three clones, all having the original's power and wits yet different in personality. This means that she can easily overwhelm a single opponent or become three times deadlier just for the fun of it. Surprisingly enough, she doesn't use this ease up her workload. She must really love her job~

Unnatural Physics: To some degree, Rei is able to manipulate the world around her into whatever she pleases. However, this ability increases effectiveness dramatically if she has the oppurtunity to gaze directly into her victim's eyes. If only she consumed one more soul that could do this...

Metaphysical Touch: An ability that sprouted from being a nekomata and an afterlife system, Rei can touch and interact with objects completely non-physical. Aside from souls, dreams, age, and thoughts can be messed with too. But most fun of all are emotions. Tinkering with them to give her victim a begging disposition, which is ignored, of course~

Abilities: Gluttony
"All things return to Death in the end. Even the soul. Mmm~ Speaking of which, I wonder how sweet yours will taste~ Especially since you're an 'immortal'~"

As a shinigami for her power, many beings end up at the top of her list. Humans, demis, angels, demons, gods. Yes, I said gods. Especially the arrogant celestials that believe that they're above the rest and are "immortal."

Omnidigestive: Whatever enters Rei's stomach can AND will be digested and melted into more delicious body fat on her already hefty frame~ Not even "immortality" can save you now...

Black Hole Belly: Aside from Immortality, this is another main reason Rei is undefeatable. Her ability to absorb anything into her gut, whether inside or out, can transmute energy of all forms into more pudge~ Physical contact simply results in absorption of whatever it was that touched it. Slow at first before becoming stronger to prevent escape...

Soul Nourishment: Soul are a delicacy for Rei, as if it wasn't obvious enough~ They all taste so sweet, some moreso than others. But sugary flavor aside, each one can increase her massive palette of abilities by adding the powers of the owner. Thanks to this, there is almost no limit to what Rei can do...

*No matter what the scene idea is, the most likely ending is the reaping of the character I am playing with. This does not have to be permanent at all. However, I would like it if the encounter is something out of a storyline. Unless you want your character to die permanently.

A gluttonous shinigami that lives to reap the souls off her list with a sadistic glee~ Visits the Headquarters of Creations to speak with the one who created her. Thankfully no reapings were done!! O3O
