Reishara

Picture thanks to Dalia__

Basics:

Name: Reishara (ray-shar-uh)
Sex: Female
Age: Somewhere over 3,000 years
Height: 130 Ft tall
Physical Appearance: Check the picture. (it is mine, drawn as a gift for me years ago by a friend)

About Her
Reishara is a 3000 year old Sphynx, who guards a heap of treasures in that little door behind her seen in the picture. In her younger years she spent at a secret
academy where she learned all her lore, riddles, and what she knows now! At least until she was 100 years old - when she was given charge of a temple all her own
to manage and look over.

As a 'Sentinel' she is given two geas', one preventing her from leaving her post until an adventurer claims her prize or a certain time period passes, and the other
which forbids her from eating anyone she hasn't asked a riddle to. If answered correctly, they may pass unmolested.

In her spare time she practices magic, reads books, thinks up new riddles, and maintains her 'dungeon'. She will some times make herself look like she's a statue,
set before the door, or around anywhere that suits her fancy within her dungeon. She will only appear lifeless. Due to the infrequence of prey/visitors,
she loves to have a chat and toy with them before eating them in some regard.

She prefers being gentle around people though, despite her habits of eating people alive (which generally means they digest in her stomach over a long period of
time~) she doesn't chew, or stomp all that much. You draw more flies with honey after all, or in this case, people!

Her home is a dungeon, more or less. It has eternally burning torches on the massive walls, which creates a golden glow throughout the entire chamber. It's never
too warm or too hot, which makes it a welcoming place in harsh weather. However, it may look all homey, but there's creatures in the dark caverns beneath
the floors, bridges that span these caverns, lots of pictures which sometimes have creatures in them that will literally jump out of the paintings to eat you! There's
even a giant 30ft albino lizard-like creature that roams the corridors! Beware, it fiercely protects it's Dungeon Master!

Personality
Reishara tries to keep her prey with her as long as possible. As a Sphinx who is charged with being a sentinel, she doesn't get visitors that make it all the way to her all that often.

Expect her to flirt, and chat, and draw time out as long as possible before starting the actual riddle to get to her treasure. Once she starts it, she'll usually ask one that
will take forever to think about, then encourage them to spend as much time as they want deciding on it. She cares not for the time it takes, and is perfectly fine if her
'prey' sits there for weeks talking about it. The only real time limit is her stomach. Once she starts getting hungry, then she'll get impatient, and she might try to
impose a sense of urgency on them.

Otherwise she beats around the bush a lot, but may speak directly depending on her mood. She doesn't like to fight either - though she is extraordinarily powerful anyway,
she just crave social interaction above anything else, and its what drives her actions. She may even decide to ask you a second riddle at the cost of your soul (in addition
to your body). If you get the second riddle right you may leave with the treasure, if you fail, your body and soul will both be eaten. You will not go to heaven, but be
stuck inside her until she dies and goes to the afterlife herself.

She's also polite, largely. She'll be hospitable, and she'll respect the people who come to her. Though she'll usually try to subtly imply that in the end, she would love to
eat them. The only time she wont try to subtly imply this, is if her own little qualifications are met. Based on how she feels about the other person, her mood, what
they are like, and probably her hunger level as well.

Before she picks you up, you'll be treated fairly and kindly. Once she starts eating you, from the time when she picks you up, expect to be toyed with. She'll have
little care for you once this act begins.

Body
This is pretty simple, but to clarify - her body, the part you'll care about has two stomachs. A human one and a lion one.
The lion one is rougher - it is also capable of devouring a soul - but will only do that based on her geas and if someone
fails two riddles. Her lion stomach may also take a longer time to digest. The victim has to be alive for most of it for their
soul to get digested.

Her human one is lighter, less intense, and will not devour the soul of her victim no matter what. It is somewhat shorter,
but may also take a really long time as well, but over all it will likely be the soft, melty digestion type.

Notes
As people ask questions, or I come up with comments, they will be put here, and added.

Firstly, when I say "rough lion stomach" I say that vaguely since people have differing likes and opinions on what rough should be.
I can go from intense massages and forcing the prey to be positioned in certain ways due to Reishara's movement, all the way to a
food filled stomach with a long graphic digestion, full of smells and pain and even blood if that's your thing.

She, as a character, always speaks in riddles or rhymes, but as a player I am really bad at them, so I will usually forgo most of that
dialogue in riddles save for the question to get to her treasure, or not. If anybody has good riddles, I can post them here.

Riddles

When is 99 more than 100?

When you divide it, 1/99 is bigger than 1/100.

What asks but never answers?

An Owl

I know a word which letters three, add two, and fewer it will be.

Fewer

There are two sisters: one gives birth to the other and she, in turn, gives birth to the first. Who are the two sisters?

Day and Night

A man is found dead in a phone booth in a pool of blood. The glass on either end of the phone booth is broken and the phone is hanging. Just outside of the phone booth is a bucket and a stick.

The man was a fisherman. He caught a fish and phoned someone to brag about the fish. While gesturing with his hands about the fish, he hit the glass, broke it, and cut himself.

The part of the bird, that is not in the sky, which can swim in the ocean, and always stay dry.

Reflection

If you speak my name, you destroy me. What am I?
