While his siblings reveled in feasts and courtly affairs, Remiel found himself in the whispering woods that fringed their grand castle. From a young age, he felt drawn to nature, often sneaking away to try and converse with woodland creatures or sketch the rich colors of blossoming flowers. A pastime that earned him disdainful glances from nobles who deemed such behavior unbecoming for a prince.
His upbringing was relatively normal. He had begun to learn the things needed of a prince, but he wasn't yet expected to really put any of such to use. During political stuff, he was more there for appearances. He began being tutored on swordsmanship basics as well. He'd hoped to never need things like that but.....fate had ideas for him.
Having set out from the castle, he went to serene part of the forest nearby. He went without telling anyone, as he thought everyone would likely try and stop him. Remiel finds a small little pond, the only sounds being the bug and wind. He hadn't seen anything like birds, large or small animals on his way it. Which he found odd, there definitely should be the animals out here! He does find why this is, or rather, it finds him. As he is looking at the pond, a black shadowy mass drifts towards him, it makes no noise so Remiel suddenly feels what feels like hands around his neck. This mass lifts him off the ground, little Remiel struggled against this black mass as he gasped for air. He begin to feel his strength being drawn out of his body, he struggled to keep his eyes open...
Thusly did tiny sparkles appears. A rain of small motes of light cover the black mass, Remiel is abruptly dropped to the ground as the black mass is warded off by this light and it slides away from whence it came. Remiel laid there on the ground, gasps be air but not having the strength to move. He see what looks like a pair of butterfly wings land on his chest before he passes out.
His savior was a fairy. This fairy looked over the young man and for whatever reason, whether it be pity or an honest want to help, this fairy shrunk Remiel and picked him up off the dirt. The fairy carried him to the side of a tree and set gim down. The fairy pondered for a moment before stepping uo....and unbirthing him! They fairy kept him cradled inside her form for a number of weeks. Remiel would wake up a few times but the fairy used her magic to lull him back to sleep each time...
Meanwhile, his parents were losing their minds! To be expected if someone tells you your youngest is missing. People searched everywhere for those weeks he spent resting within the fairy's belly. Realistically, the fairy could have let Remiel only after a few days, but they got attached. Eventually the fairy does take Remiel and sneakily drops him off and unshrinks him. The fairy looks over him before flying away. Later the guards find him and rush him back to his room.
After his parents finally calm down. He tries figuring out what actually happened to him. He fails to figure out
