Alt of Orphani and both characters share the same fantasy setting. With that in mind don't expect a happy background.

Background:

A woman who was born to an opium addled whore who sold her for the next hit. Being passed around from home to home master to master she learned how to fight, act, sneak around, and even disguise herself at a moment's notice.

Eventually she managed to track down her birth mother who had "cleaned up" and became married to a local merchant. Though sadly in the country she was born in at the time there was a large illegal bounty on the lives of anyone found with albinism that the two tried to cash in on... with Riam.

In a fit of despair and rage she escaped only to track down and murder both of her betrayers. Her sixteenth birthday was when she finally found and murdered her mother to be precise. Her "true" father she was never able to find and quite frankly... she doesn't care to.

After several years working as an assassin to make ends meet (and to take what little vengeance she can) she was hired by a group of adventurers to help them in tracking down a menacing band of Ravagers. While assisting with defeating the Ravagers and their machinations something happened, the adventurers through thick and thin became her friends.

As time went on she became less angry and more comfortable with her albinism. At first she would only appear before others in a disguise or with heavy makeup to hide her face. Though she is still often heavily clothed to protect herself from the sun.

As the last Ravager, a woman named Hex was about to be captured or killed, she opened up a portal and dived in. Riam, panicking that the woman would only serve to spread more carnage followed her into the Nexus. She cursed the gods (only one of a great many times) when it closed behind her.

Abilities:

Due to her eyesight Riam does not rely heavily on ranged weapons. That said she is quite skilled in using dual daggers or kukris. In addition she can heavily exploit any openings in an opponents guard (sneak attack) and with some careful planning execute an attack that can instantly kill or incapacitate a foe (death attack.)

Due to the fear of seeing how she really looks Riam is also skilled at disguise and deception. Though this has also come at the cost of her feeling a bit nervous about her real face being seen at times. Her friends would at first come to recognize one of her disguises before recognizing how she truly looked.

While she doesn't know English per se she has a magical choker which compensates for her. In effect it allows her to constantly comprehend and speak the languages around her if she doesn't know them.

One thing to be noted however that Riam, being an albino is highly sensitive to sunlight. She is unable to get a tan and can be easily sun burnt and UV radiation can be very excruciating for her eyes. Because of this she has quickly gained a love for a technological wonder known as sunglasses.

Personality:

Riam is often calm, stoic, and a little morose at times. Previously possessed of a murderous temper she has since cooled down but now sits back grieving about the lives she has taken. Yet above it all she seems to have a strange sense of optimism, claiming that without it she may have never found her way back from the depth of despair.
