Rin is based on a "Vocaloid", a personified voice and sound program. Although in this case, she is depicted as a normal, regular human being. For special cases, she might be played as a program persona given a physical human body, though.

Rin Kagamine is a pretty, young girl of japanese descent who is gifted with a wonderful singing voice, and managed to use this to make a breakthrough in the music business. Despite being still in her late teenage years, she is already famous and popular, got many fans, and the concerts she gives either solo, or with her band, are always sold out. She got a bit spoiled from the success and the money, but mostly tried to stay true to herself.

She got a brother, Len, who is a talented singer as well, the two often doing duo performances. Just like her sibling, Rin is a noisy, bouncy extrovert - she is giddy, talkative, very energetic and always looking for some fun or something to do. She takes her work seriously and invests quite some hours into practicing, keeping up her schedule with seemingly never ending energy. Rin finds it extremely easy to meet new people and get in touch with them, her open minded and straightforward, direct personality makes her quite sociable.

That is not to say that she is a 'little angel'. Rin got a strong lewd and mischiveous side too - she loves pranks and jokes, or to let off some steam in private, preferably on top of someone and domineering them to prove how good she is. If she is angered or just doesn't like someone, she is not above doing evil or vicious things, and she is vore capable too - despite her appearance, Rin is actually an experienced predator. Her activities prevent her from gaining weight, and so she finds it rather enjoyable to indulge in that sinful craving, provided the circumstances are right.

The japanese girl has a slightly taller than average height for her age, and a normal, a little slender figure. Her hair is short, tomboy-like, but she is quite beautiful nonetheless. And while her curves are mostly modest, her rear is sizable enough with a certain jigglyness. One thing to note is that Rin can be overprotective of her brother - if someone means him harm, she'll make their life hell. Should Rin come to the conclusion they are a weak, boring wimp, she will personally see to it and make them 'disappear' - aka lure them or drag them to her quarters, dominate them to prove her point, then swallow and digest them.
