Risk was the King of Thieves....now he's just fat on Sandrice.
His years living in the slums has shaped him to be manipulative, untrusting toward the government, and cunning with words, and has instituted the thoughts of hating fate and defying fate, to others. He always believed that he was less worthy because of his father's blood, and began to curse his fate.
This fate being curse being part genie/djinn. He tells no one of this secret, lest he be returned to some form of servitude that he was subjected to for most of his childhood. But if one were to discover that he was in fact, part genie they could make three wishes, but unlike a standard genie each wish they make must come at the cost of something else.
It is for this reason that Risk has isolated himself from his friends and family and pursued a career in stealing from those more fortunate than him. Of course there have been occasions where one has discovered his secret, but in the end they usually share the same fate, and it usually results in Risk looking more fatter than usual. That is the risk that both he and them play.
