It is not uncommon for witches to be persecuted for their powers. Some of Rowena’s earliest memories were the terrified face of her father when her powers had literally burst out, the mob of villagers marching on the house with weapons and burning torches, her fleeing into the woods in blind panic.

In the years since that traumatic event, she has worked and quested to expand and control her power. Her dream is to be accepted into the Night-thorn Sisterhood, the most prestigious covenant in the realm.
