Masquerade_Alts - A huge WIP, another one of my Final Fantasy XIV characters!
Based on Crystal, one of the American Datacentres, and Diabolos World in particular.

Age: 19 (Right on the cusp of 20 by ARR, around 22 or 23 by Dawntrail)
Height: 5'2 (158.5cm)
Build: Quite muscular, with an impressive bust!
Sexuality: Pansexual

A young Raen woman originally hailing from the far off land of Doma, Rui spent her childhood as an inhabitant of the peaceful underwater community known as Sui-no-Sato, until she was one day possessed by a malevolent spirit. She became irreversably bound to a Tsukumogami, a yokai of Doman legend said to haunt any weapon or tool that has existed for long enough. The one who laid claim to Rui took the form of an axe, and ever since she has occasionally been struck with uncontrollable rage or violent impulses as the Tsukumogami claws at her mind. This condition is not unlike the Inner Beast that those of the Warrior job contend with, or the pact with a Voidsent forged by Reapers, though in Rui's case it is an unwanted form of possession that has proven to be seemingly incurable.

After being ostracised from her home and family, Rui travelled west into the Doman heartlands to find someone who could help train her to control the Tsukumogami. She was in luck and made contact with a local order of monks in Yanxia. There she learned to bargain and control the Tsukumogami, forming an uneasy partnership with it and giving it the name Kirinuki. The young woman never had a chance to finish her training however, as the Doman Rebellion against the occupying Garlean Empire, followed by the subsequent harsh repression, sent her and many other Domans fleeing the country as exiles. Now she has stepped off a boat in the Eorzean city of Limsa Lominsa and forged a new life for herself under the name "Rui Manaka" as a wandering Eorzean adventurer, still trying to come to terms with herself, her unnatural companion Kirinuki, and the fate of her homeland of Doma.

(As you might be able to tell, this character is both figuratively and literally fresh off the boat in FFXIV, I still haven't gotten her out of the starting storyline of A Realm Reborn or given her a proper glam yet)
