About Rutger
Rutger, a swordsman from Bulgar, Sacae, is a character with a troubled past. His mixed ancestry, which includes two Sacaean grandparents, initially saved his life when Bern invaded Sacae, as the invading troops spared him due to his physical appearance. This traumatic event drove Rutger to become obsessed with revenge, and he is often dismissive of his own moral compass. However, despite his rough exterior, Rutger shows a softer side in his supports with Clarine, where he acknowledges her honesty and recognizes that her strong personality grates on his nerves.
Rutger is a solitary and introspective individual who keeps others at arm's length. Despite this, he shows a surprising capacity for empathy, as evidenced by his rescue of Clarine and his apology for accidentally causing her tears. He also tries to help Fir be true to herself, rather than trying to emulate him. Initially, Rutger's sole goal was to exact revenge on Bern, but as he fights alongside Roy's party, he begins to question this singular purpose, particularly influenced by his interactions with Dayan and Karel.
Rutger appears as a young man driven by a desire for revenge against Bern. His personality is typical of the archetype of a person seeking revenge after a traumatic event. He tends to be solitary and uncommunicative, only showing interest in competitive rivals. He also exhibits a traditional and potentially sexist attitude, not considering harming or fighting women.

This character is going to be prey. Rutger has immense confidence in his swordsmanship and shows no mercy when it comes to defeating his male opponents. However, he tends to avoid conflicts with women as he dislikes the idea of fighting them. This preference makes it more probable for the predator to be female, not because Rutger is incapable of defending himself, but simply because of his pride.
Rutger behaves like a mercenary, so the scenes may focus on him working as a bodyguard, or defending someone vulnerable. For example, Clarine, although not his leader, treats him as if Rutger should obey her, and he just finds her annoying.
My roleplays focus on fiction and fantasy, not reality or real-life references, which are far from the intended interpretation and may be uncomfortable as they do not reflect who I am.
Skills
Rutger's combat prowess relies heavily on his ability to land devastating blows with his sword, often exceeding a 100% critical hit ratio. Despite lacking exceptional physical strength, his agility and speed make up for it, allowing him to execute double strikes with ease. While he has a decent endurance, his defenses are lacking, making him vulnerable to attacks. However, his exceptional dodging skills make him a difficult target to hit, forcing opponents to rely on precise timing and strategy to land a successful blow against him.
