Saffron is one such being, an angel of light, serving an ancient god as an emissary - even gods require diplomacy, leading to the youthful-looking angel often travelling the world, enjoying the fantastic sights his position allows him to see... along with the variety of interesting people to meet!

Saffron himself is a friendly being to most - diplomatic angels lack the usual inbuilt negativity towards unholy energy, as such a bias would be problematic when dealing with darker deities. However, like all angels in his world, he is quite... alien, to mortal standards. Being a race created to guard gods, angels lacks several emotions and impulses - they cannot feel romantic love, they are unquestioningly loyal to their god, they have quite a tactless, blunt manner around mortals... though, such a thing shouldn't be mistaken as a dislike! Angels enjoy mortals quite immensely... though, their eternal lifespans, odd nature, and cosmic awareness make them incredibly difficult for most to deal with.

While emotionally bizarre, angels aren't devoid of feelings. They're just as expressive as humans when it comes to the emotions they're able to feel, perhaps even more so! Given their rigid lifestyle, leisure time is always enjoyed, with the holy beings often exploring to find a multitude of ways to simply enjoy themselves, pleasure, humour, lust, friendship... all things that are almost intoxicating to an angel, a welcome break from the rigidity of their lives. After all, while angels are created lacking several key emotions, making them entirely heartless would have caused far more problems than it would have solved.

Saffron's work takes him far and wide across the lands, as an envoy to other gods, devout worshippers, and other divinely-linked characters, the majority of the angel's friendships budding up during these trips! Spending their days working hard, between periods of relaxation and restoration, angels live a fast-paced life... which they enjoy!

As a result of their natural enjoyment of experimentation and new sensations, it's not too hard to get an angel to agree to something odd... along with it being somewhat easy to force a messenger into such a thing! Though, obviously, angels are immortal - even if he is killed, he would be restored by his lord. As such, even lethal events hold little danger to an angel... though, they can still be quite painful and draining, and would be something most would prefer to avoid if possible!
