Sagette

FEF made a guy. The apocalypse cometh.

Sagette is a demi-human Decidueye. Now, before I continue, it's important to identify the precisely two types of people in the world. There are those that have no idea what the heck I just said, and those that keep up with Pokemon and are thinking "Wait a sec - that looks more like a Dartrix than a Decidueye!"

To the former group - no knowledge of Pokemon is explicitly needed to play with me, although I can't promise you'll entirely understand this profile.

To the latter - yes, you're correct. Sagette certainly looks like a Dartix, even though he has in truth evolved into Decidueye. It's a sneaky trick, isn't it? Pretending to be Grass/Flying type when you're actually Grass/Ghost is exactly the sort of thing you'd expect from a species of Pokemon known for stealth and cunning.

Except that's not actually got anything to do with it. The truth is, Sagette is simply very vain, and prefers his look as a Dartrix to its evolution. And so, this flirtatious fop done everything in his power to appear unevolved. Don't question how, it's uh, make-up. And some ghost magic, or something. Anyway, the fact that his disguise tricks foes was just a side effect he hadn't even considered at first.

Unfortunately, no amount of make-up and ghost magic can do anything about Sagette's eyes. He's always hated them - sure, they're practical and great at seeing in the dark, but they're just so big and dopey-looking, in his opinion. There's a reason the Dartrix species keeps their eyes closed most of the time!

And so our debonair dandy, after one too many clumsy accidents, decided that the whole eyes-closed thing wasn't working for him, and so he devised another solution - a mask. Sagette's mask has been known to fall off when he's caught off-guard. His eyes underneath, rimmed by orange circles, betray the fact that he's actually a Decidueye.

In battle, this perspicacious philandering poet prefers to hang back, firing arrows from a distance. He uses special spectral arrows to bind foes in place, and then uses Baton Pass to buff his allies, letting them finish off the weakened foes. While nobody can deny his skillset makes Sagette useful in combat, he's often been called a coward for retreating prematurely instead of finishing the fight himself.

In truth, his refusal to play a more active roll is a multi-faceted response. The more obvious reason is that Sagette simply doesn't want to sully his appearances in dirty combat. Far from being a coward, on the rare occasion that an enemy's attack should tarnish his appearance, he flies (quite literally) into a rage.

The other reason, which Sagette keeps to himself, is that he actually considers himself quite old - almost level 45, in fact. In truth, level of course has nothing to do with age, he's actually around 30. But in his eyes, he might as well be a fossil Pokemon! And so, rather than being a coward, he's actually giving his teammates a chance to gain EXP.
