Sarah_Midori

Sarah Midori is human- rather obviously so, in spite of the shade of her hair. Standing a scant four foot ten (five foot in her heavy hiking boots), she is topped with a high ponytail of slightly curly purple hair. Her eyes are a deep jade green, and to judge by her skin color and facial shape, she's Caucasian. She's fairly lightly built, if heavier in the bosom than most people her height. She typically wears a green tanktop, a green miniskirt, and a tan cargo vest. On the back of her vest are slung her two plasma machine pistols, and she wears not only an odd form of combat boots, but fingerless green leather gloves.

Sarah may be a human, but she's far from normal. Her plasma repeaters fire small 'pellets' of plasma in single-shot, burst, or spray mode. She's a crack shot with the custom-weapons, and can even reload them with the power-pack 'clips' she carries in her vest pockets without removing a hand from one to load the other.

She is also a psionicist. She has 'mild' pyro-, crio-, and electro-kinetic powers, able to generate and control fire, ice, and electricity with her mind. Sarah is additionally a 'mild' biokinesist, able to heal small and moderate wounds, or slightly alter metabolisms with her mind. The powers are nothing like serious combat powers- she can't call down lightning bolts or immolate people or anything like that, though she can be fairly dangerous with them. When Sarah uses her kineses, two things happen. First, the more power and focus she puts in a kinesis, the grayer her eyes get. What this does is unknown, but her eyes have yet to go totally gray. The second thing is that she produces an odor. Electrokinesis causes her to emit an ozone aura, pyrokinesis leaves her smelling slightly of smoke, criokinesis gets a whiff of nitrogen, and biokinesis produces a faint whiff of copper.

For all that she’s a psyker, Sarah doesn’t act too much like it. This is probably because of her origin- her training in her psychokinetic powers is very new to her, the result of a desperate society. The alternate of Earth that she comes from suffered a nuclear apocalypse that rendered most of the landscape utterly uninhabitable, a massive radioactive wasteland of the sort imagined in certain movies. Despite that the cause of the apocalypse was technological, it was quickly taken advantage of by demons- demons who had long been in the background, feeding off of the human race.

Swiftly, the dominant faction of demons made their presence known, making the wastelands even more dangerous, most of humanity holed up in fortress-cities, trying everything they could to keep the demons from repeatedly breaking in to wreak havoc, and repeatedly failing. Presently, though, another faction of demons appeared, who thought of the demon/human interaction as more of a symbiosis. It was one such group that Sarah fell in with, after an attack by the more vicious demons.

What happened next, she’s really not clear on, but now she’s here. Her psyker talents still work, and every so often her empty plasma repeater clips recharge, so she’s not about to run out of ammo permanently. Now, if only she could figure out what to do next...?

Her partial military training, at least, will come in handy, though she’s used to working with a number of other psykers at once, so that a significant effect can be ‘juiced’ out, meaning that her talents aren’t nearly as useful as she would like.
