Personality: Serena, despite her large size and possibly intimidating looks, is a very kind and gentle person. She values all life and any mention of a worthless life can annoy her. She is a selfless person who will do whatever she can in order to save somebody who she sees as sick or injured. She is social and friendly though and won't mind if someone wishes to talk to her. That said, she doesn't like to talk to people she sees as cruel or evil. She is very interested in listening to what people have to say, since she loves to learn about things. She will also show an interest in technology and will do what she can to learn about what she finds. If she feels herself getting angry at somebody, she will simply leave so she doesn't get too upset.
Serena has a very good knowledge of electronics. She is also a bit of a tinkerer by nature and will often try to improve a device that somebody has if they'll let her. She doesn't like technology used for destructive or evil ends though, such as firearms and war vehicles. She doesn't like devices that are used to imprison others (such as poké balls or cage traps) for a similar reason, though she does understand that evil people need to be confined to lessen the damage they do.
She does have a hatred of strong winds though. Even though she is normally too big to be moved by most gusts of winds, a strong enough wind can make her hide. She suffers from claustrophobia and prefers wide open spaces for that reason. If she ends up anywhere confined, she'll panic very easily.

Possessions

Capsule bag: A bag she normally wears on her back. Colored in the same green as her skin, it stores all of her possessions. The name comes from the fact that it looks like a capsule, but can only be opened with her hand.
Life scanner: A small electronic device that she carries with her at all times. When she meets a species she hasn't met yet, she scans the species with this. It fires a thin, harmless red laser that tells the machine everything she needs to know about a species and individual. The device itself looks like a metallic cube, small enough for her to hold in one hand, with a slot on one side where the laser comes out and a screen on another side where the information is displayed.
Artificial sol:In times of a lack of light or water, this small white orb can be hung from something, providing artificial sunlight in a 5 metre (16 feet) radius.
Collection vials: These tubes, made of a substance resembling glass but much more resistant to impact, are used to take samples of disease causing agents and any other items of interest for storage and later examination.

The Bezinata

Description
The Bezinata are a serpentine race of creatures. The creatures are generally very large in size, growing to a maximum length of 7 metres (23 feet roughly) in length for males and 10 metres (33 feet roughly) for females. Males can weigh up to 170kg (374lbs roughly) while females can way up to 220kg (485lbs roughly). The species has a pair of arms and hands close to their head, about 1 metre (3 feet roughly) away from the head in the case of males or females. They have a thickness of about 60cm (2 feet) whether they're male or female. Their head looks like that of a rabbit, but with a longer nose and no large ears. They have smaller ears on the side of their heads, but they can hear very well despite the small ear size. The species is covered in skin that feels leathery to the touch, normally colored a light green with black heart colored patterns. Males have larger heart patterns than the females. The green patches of the skin are covered in receptors that can turn sunlight and water into energy in a similar manner to plants. They also have very good vision, able to see small objects at a long distance and they are also able to sense the heat given off by living creatures. Despite their serpentine appearance, they are warm blooded creatures. They are fully capable of opening their jaw wide enough to swallow anything as wide as 2 metres (nearly 7 feet) and as long as 5 metres (nearly 16 feet) without any difficuty. Females are also capable of consuming males. The species keep their genitalia hidden ot the ground and only expose it during mating. Bezinata mate for life once they find a suitable mate. Females are less secretive about thei vagina though since it has another use aside from mating and child bearing (more ont hat below). Bezinata give birth to live young, the young are born about 2 metres (nearly 7 feet) long and are already able to turn sunlight and water into energy. Both males and females also have a special filter in their lungs to allow them to breath underwater, making them completely amphibious. On land though, they are rather slow to move. The species lacks an anus since they do not excrete any kind of waste product. The 'stomach' of the species workd very differently to other species (see below). Bezinata are a long lived species, able to live up to 500 earth years years on average. The oldest recorded Bezinata lived to an age of 631 earth years. They have their own unique language but can also learn other languages very quickly.

Behaviour
The Bezinata are a benevolent species that are recognised by many races that traven the galaxy. They have no need to eat any other creature for nutrition, getting all their energy from sunlight and water. They are capable of eating others, but for then the purpose is to help whoever they're eating (more on that later). They are a very peaceful race and will never fight against attackers, always looking for a diplomatic solution. They are also a very wise race and listen to the problems of people while offering them advice to deal with the problem. The species will never eat somebody without their consent unless it's a clear emergency (such as the other person being unconscious. A person who ends up dying while under the care of the Bezinata is treated witht he upmost respect, being returned to their family and home for a respectful burial. Bezinata are an intelligent species and have a love of knowledge. They frequently send their kind to other planets for the purpose of observing the life on it and learning about life in the universe.

Vore
To the Bezinata, vore is not a way of gaining nutrition, but a way of helping out another person. They are known enough that other races sometimes travel to them for the purpose of getting healed inside them. The maw of the Bezinata has no teeth at all so 'prey' is swallowed whole and alive. After being swallowed, the subject is pushed down gently into a large fleshy chamber that can stretch around to accommodate the size of the visitor. The walls give out a low level glow to allow whoever is inside to be able to see and is flexible enough to allow movement (usually crawling). While it can technically be called a stomach, the Bezinata refer to it as a "Benince pouch". The pouch is able to release aromatheraputic fragrances to help whoever is inside to relax and it can also release a liquid into the pouch. The liquid, referred to as Lichid juice is there to help injuries heal and to cure any infection. The more severe the injuries and/or infection, the longer this takes and the Benince pouch works very well at being able to leave breathing orafices free so the person inside can breathe. Lichid juice is freely consumable and, while not nutritious, does have antibiotic properties if consumed. However, Lichit juice cannot bring back the dead though. The flesh of the chamber allows oxygen to pass through freely, so suffocation is not a danger. Bezinata will learn of the diet of whoever they have eaten either before or after consumption, depending on whether the 'prey' was conscious or not when they were swallowed, and they will search out these foods and consume them for whoever is inside to swallow along with water to drink. The Benince pouch is also used to provide people a home for a night or longer. The chamber can adjust it's internal temperature to suit whoever is inside so they are neither too hot or too cold. The internal glow can also be suppressed at will, allowing whoever is inside to be in the dark if desired.
Females can also provide the use of their womb for similar functions. A person who is unbirthed by a female will experience the same comforts someone in the Benice pouch would be, but in addition an umbilical cord can be attached to allow the Bezinata hostess to provide nourishment and oxygen to whoever is inside with their consent. This has the advantage of allowing them to completely fill their womb with the Lichit juice for a more thorough healing soak, generally making healing quicker. However, females are a little more reluctant to do this unless the other person specifically asks for it, preferring to swallow orally.
Bezinata have a third way of swallowing which is used in certain situations. The side of their body where the Benince pouch is located can be opened up at will. A Bezinata will coil around somebody and the side will open up. Muscular action will then pull the person into their Benince pouch. The Bezinata call this "Skin swallowing" and it's mainly used for situations when there isn't enough time to swallow somebody orally.

Home planet
The Bezinata live on a planet they call Persina. Persina is roughly two times the size of Earth, but it has a similar climate. The average temperature is higher though but there is still a lot of water and plenty of land as well, with an approximate ratio of 40% land to 60% water. The planet has very small polar ice caps at the northern and southern most points of the world. Everywhere around the centre of the planet is a desert, creating a thick sandy strip around the planet. Unlike earth, Persina doesn't tilt on its axis so there is no seasonal cycle as the planet orbits its star. It takes 37 earth hours for Persina to rotate once and 359 earth days for Persina to orbit its star.
