Seven of nine, a former member of the Borg Connective who has been cut off from the Hive and turned human once more. Her real name was Annika Hansen, though she never refers to it anymore and instead, prefers her Borg name or just the abbreviation 'Seven'. Annika's parents were last reported to be leaving a remote outpost in the Omega sector, headed towards the Delta Quadrant in the small vessel 'The Raven'. They wanted to study the Borg and learn about their behavior, but their assumption that the Collective would not take note of their presence was proven wrong in the end.

It is possible that the Hansen family were the first humans to be assimilated by the Borg, Annika getting transformed and called Seven when she was still young (roughly 10 years old). On a mission many years later, she stranded on the Voyager and the crew decided to try and cut her connection with the Collective, to learn more about the Borg. Although assimilated as a child, her body grew, and Seven looks like a woman of average height and weight, with a slender but shapely body and quite ample feminine features. Together with her adorable blonde hair and her fondness of wearing tight catsuits of various colors (the standard one being a greenish silver), she is quite eye candy, without realizing this herself.

The former Borg known by the designation "Seven of Nine" has been disconnected from the Borg collective mind through the neutralization of the upper-spinal column neurotransceiver. In total, eighty-two percent of her Borg hardware implants were extracted. The remaining bio-implants have been stabilized and remain critical to her life support. Her human metabolism and immune system were stimulated, though the Borg Nanobots in her bloodstream will more than suffice until she has stabilized. Hair follicles have been repaired and stimulated. Left eyepiece has been replaced by an artificial organ replacement, simulating her own organic eye.

Seven has a sarcastic (if she even recognizes humor at all), lonesome attitude, is often emotionally cold and can not emphasize well with someone around her, but slowly, she learned basics of how being human had once been. Due to being introduced to the Collective when she was young, and her personality not developing like normal, Seven lacks an understanding of sexuality, certain feelings and shame. The girl also has almost no sex drive whatsoever. She is a very logical, reasonable and focused person, has a high intellect and great scientific and technologic knowledge, things she aquired during her time as drone. She has troubles remembering things before her parting from the collective clearly, especially everything which happened before her assimilation, and completely forgot all the little things who are perfectly normal for regular organic beings. While she has some goals in life, Seven struggles to find something to aim for, and thus, she was happy to have a 'purpose' again by helping out on the Voyager.

About two months after her disconnection from the Collective, Seven went on a regular exploration mission to search for valuable resources on a planeteoid, and something mishappened. She found an anomaly, and when she wanted to scan it, Seven triggered a feedback pulse and was sucked into another dimension ... landing in Nexus. She needed a while to find her way around, but is used to rely on her own strength. While she started to eat normal food again just shortly before being warped into a diffrent reality, but as Seven still has several vital Borg implants in her body, this is not sufficient to nourish her. Normally, she would use a machine called an 'Alcove' to repower herself, but in Nexus she has found no such thing. Luckily, the Borg developed a way for her to refill her energy if she has no regular sources available. Genetic modifications and upgrades made her body stretchy and flexible, and enable her to use the protocol called 'Voracious Obtaining of Resources in Emergencies' - codename VORE. (She can also be played in a Voyager canon true to the series)
