Backstory
Angels...
Funny beings angels, little is known about them, even though they seem to be the most holy of beings, the lights of the afterlife and the wonders and marvels of the universe abound. It makes one wonder why there is so many more text, so much more detail and description on the forces of darkness. The demonic, the infernal, the devilish...They are all depicted as huge beings, seductive temptresses and horrifying abominations...
...So why do all angels seem to be wispy balls of light...or vaguely human?
Maybe...its because not all angels are strong....fitting of holding the attention of the mortal...maybe even weak....powerless. Sure...beautiful...but all and all beings of fragility, brought on by the sense of utopia that is heaven.
Which bears one thing in mind....if angels can fall, what happens to those weaker ones.
That leads us to the rather touchy subject of Shania.
See...Shania was an angel, one of the Muses to be exact. She was not known for her wonderful bouts of bringing inspiration, but instead was one of the actual angels in the choir that brought melody at certain celestial functions....AKA she played the Violin...and she played it quite well.
Too well, in fact, that one of the Ophanim, or Elders wished her to learn another instrument to help keep her from shining too brightly in the utopia of heaven...one must not show off and show pride, after all. In what they called roguish defiance, Shania refused...saying that to learn another instrument would make her worse then the other angels, thus breaking the utopianistic melody anyway.
One does not simply defy an Ophanim....
Needless to say, for her vanity, she was blinded by the purest of lights, cast down from the heavens, chained to a rock in the middle of the ocean, and left with only her violin and the blackened wings of a fallen, never to be allowed into the heavens again.
Mind you, it didn't take long for a boat to pass by and pick her up, the short sighted angels forgetting to watch the ways of humans...and though the wings at first disconcerted them and made them wish to cast her overboard...both the incessant need for help due to her blindness and the beautiful and unearthly ability with the violin kept her on the boat till shore.
...leading her to an all too familar beachside city.
Personality/Little things
Kind....sweet, caring, loving, peaceful, innocent...everything you would think an angel would be, that is what Shania is. Very much a sweet and loving girl in the end, even if she cannot hope to see what she is doing. Naive, though, as she is use to people leading her about and helping her through life at this point, so there is a level of trust that she has which never seems to be broken, no matter what happens to her, be it good or bad.
Shania is blind. She is always going to be blind, and even if a goddess tries to heal her, the Ophanim will simply blind her again.
This character is story/plot centric, with sexual overtones at times.
