Moving is never exactly easy. Having to pack up and potentially leave those you have bonded with over a period of months or years behind to settle in and start anew. It can be mentally taxing but Shiki has had time to adapt in her sixteen years of life. She was actually born in the United States, the child of a Japanese salaryman that happened to meet a school teacher on one of his extended business trips to the country.

Shiki lived with her mother for the first ten years of her life with the family taking turns of who would visit what country. After some time and much discussion the family decided to relocate to Japan as a whole, causing Shiki to be uprooted from the American life she was living and to be thrust into a new one on Japanese soil. While she knew both English and Japanese, she felt herself not quite fitting in.

The blonde hair and green eyes she inhereited from her mother made it easy enough to stand out. There was also the tall stature and strength she inherited from her father. There is one aspect of Shiki that she doesn't really like to talk about and that is the fact that she was born with the wrong set of reproductive organs. Now in America, at least in her school and neighborhood, the fact that she was the girl with a dick didn't phase too many people. When she got to Japan, it seems this fact labeled her a target for being teased by boys and girls alike all the way up until the end of middle school.

It was this combination of factors that drove the young dickgirl to start saving and taking on part time jobs after she entered high school. She wants to go back to America, even if it's only for a short stay. She wants to go back to the land of her birth, the fond memories of her youth motivating her. Since turning sixteen, Shiki has grown quite frugal in hopes of saving plenty of money for after her high school graduation.
