Shimoko
... go away. You're interrupting my practice.
Not the friendliest response... but what do you expect of a girl called the Ice Queen by her fellow students?
Shimoko never fit in, mind you. She was always excluded from the groups. The other children were nervous around her, or they bullied her, or they just shunned her due to peer pressure. She was FINE with that, though. She was content to do her own thing, playing by herself up until everyone started getting interested in everyone else. You know.... about twelve years old. Those few who tried to be friends with her before that were put off by her demeanor, or simply pressured into not hanging out with her anymore by their peers.
The thing is, when everyone hit puberty, and people started taking an interest in her, she just... wasn't interested in them. She'd learned not to like... oh, pretty much ANYONE, and she'd acquired a rather frosty demeanor as well. Add to that a scathing wit that she'd employ to devastating effect, and she soon earned her nickname(among other, less flattering ones). Of course, even as she was coming into her curves, she started coming into other things, as well.
Put it this way... that feather isn't falling. It's levitating.
Go figure. She was born into a magical bloodline that had skipped a few generations. It's one of those odd things, but it happened, and as it happened, her great-great-grandad(at a ripe old age of 250) was still alive and kicking.... just, well, not all there mentally. He didn't know about her, but some of his students and associates DID.... and, well, when Shimoko gave a handsy jock a slap that sent him FLYING, people took notice. A few days later, there were strange people in her house, offering a full scholarship to a school for gifted children(a choice of descriptors that almost made her smirk). Shimoko jumped at the chance to get away from the public schools... and found herself in a different situation, but a very similar one at the same time.
The Academy was a part of an organization dedicated to training the wizards and mages of tomorrow, she learned. She had been found because her first, instinctive use of magic nearly broke several bones in her hand, and DID break that young man's jaw(hairline fracture, but still!). It turns out that people had been watching her, just in case this happened, and now she was going to learn how to use her natural abilities. And, well, soon enough they learned that her greatest talent was for ice magic...
From there? Well, school has been rather different, but there's still been plenty of focus on the basics. Not a one of them will be attending college, of course, so more advanced mathematics are simply discarded, as are a few other things. Language courses are insisted upon, though, as are 'proper' history lessons, both mundane and magical. Biology has expanded upon, but mostly in regards to 'What flavor of supernatural is this, and how do you hurt it?'. Shimoko has taken to all of these.... but her favorite lessons are the ones that happen a few days a week, teaching them how to better use magic. And, well, she gets in a LOT of practice time on her own....
SO. Now she's settled in, in a new place, and with a new life, and, well, she's learning how to do all manner of things. Too bad if she winds up doing the wrong thing at the wrong time, she could very well wind up dead. But then, school is where you make all your mistakes in a safe environment, so they don't fuck up your life later.
Also, Shimoko is primarily for story, and in no way predatory at ALL. One-off vore scenes are still welcome, though, with supernatural predators preferred for obvious reasons. Please do PM if interested, but not ICly.
