Part of a pair of tanuki brothers, Shinji takes on being the youngest but also the most energetic! He travels with his brother or sometimes alone, but likes to hang around him when he wants to. Other times he's either practicing to be a master martial artist or just exploring. He's a ferocious little thing but a sweetheart. Both him and Kenta live out in the woods, in an old school Japanese home with modern technology integrated into it.
Physically, he is a short, pudgy little guy with some soft furr with a bit of fuzz at the top that acts as a hairstyle. As for what he wears, he mainly goes around in his black gi shirt and pants and his headband. He doesn't really have many other outfits, but then again most tanukis don't like to wear clothes all the time. But he and his brother do!
Personality wise he's bouncy, happy, friendly, and energetic. Much to both his brother's amusement and occasional annoyance. But that doesn't stop the little guy from loving all over him, and vice versa. There's rarely a time when he's super angry or anything. Maybe a bit upset from time to time, but he still recovers from that quickly.
