Sasaki is the head engineer of the human generation ship “Sidonia”. She is in charge of research and development for the ships defense grid. Her crowning achievement is the guardian system of mechs. Which is a high-performance single pilot combat mechs that defend the Sidonia generation ship. Sasaki herself is a brash young woman who often does whatever she wants, and marches to the beat of her own drum. She builds what she wants, she eats what she wants, and she sleeps with who she wants. The ruling bodies have given her free reign of the generation ship. Despite this she does not come across as pompous or inconsiderate. In-fact she often is quite compassionate and caring to others who know her. Just if you do get the cold shoulder it’s likely because she’s busy with work. Sasaki is only armed with a small side arm and is untrained in combat. In other words, if cornered in the bowls of the ship by some alien, she’s easy prey.
