Kid Conjurer is a magic-based superhero that calls her attacks in flashy, elaborate displays of verbal spellcasting and handwaving. She explains every spell if she can with magical babble. She never openly attacks her opponents with her spells and uses cunning and wit to win the day. Instead of lightning blasts and explosions, she uses restraints and enemies weaknesses to subdue them and claim victory.
So how is it that somebody who leaves herself so open to attacks, broadcasts her abilities and doesn't use lethal abilities, isn't beaten easily?
She's not a wizard, that's why.
Silvaria was born with the ability to make illusions. Her illusions are psychosomatic in nature and if somebody has no reason not to believe the illusion is a fake, then for them it is real. A wall is a real wall that they can lean against and can't past. The wall of fire is hot. The handcuffs are real and they can't move. Should something disrupt this suspension of disbelief, and the illusion is seen for what it really is. A stick thrown through the wall, handcuffs phasing through a table. She needs to keep the illusion real in her opponent's minds for them to work.
That's why she names her attacks and calls them out and explains them, so that everything seems as real as magic could possibly be. The fact that people believe she's a wizard sells the illusion even further. Her entire image is based on illusion and misdirection.
As a secondary power from her ability, she can see her illusions as they really are, and she's able to see things that people normally can't see; invisibility and stands, etc.
