Split

'What was once, and should be one, split into two.'

1 = 2. Wrong. In every way. However, what would happen if what was once one was split in two? What if you split a person in two? These were the questions asked before Lola came to be, and the ones that led to its beginning.

One fateful night, a woman stepped into the machine that would change human history forever. A machine that split you in two. The woman, named Lola, disappeared in a flash of brilliant light. As did everything else in a mile radius of the lab where this experiment began. All gone, erased to make up for the energy they had taken. However, two things did survive, and scuffle off from the desolation. A boy and a girl, twins by their identical appearance. It was their existence that meant this experiment could be considered a success.

In short: This is Lo and La, the two halves of the woman named Lola. As they were once one, they are closer than normal twins, even. They trust each other with anything, go everywhere together, and are each other's best friend. Both are shy at first around others, but would love to make a friend, under the guise of being normal twins. Lo is more scientific, better with theory, and good at solving disputes. La is creative, better with people, and makes up for her 'brother's lack of strength and practical skill. (Note: I am happy to do a scene with only one of the twins in it, if you prefer one over the other!)

One day, the two discovered a curious ability. In a rush to tell each other something, both Lo and La collided with each other, but instead of falling over, the two fused together! Lola was once again whole. A third person, the original, who seemed to see through the eyes of both of the two. It wasnt long until she realised she couldn't remain whole for long, but before Lola once again split in two, she told them one thing. To fuse when a situation was dire. Needless to say, they remember those words to this day.

The two can be found in either urban or natural areas, as they wander all the time, taking up small jobs.
