Lilly used to spend her days swimming freely throughout the Caribbean waters when she had the unfortunate luck of being caught in a commercial fishing net. She was hauled on board the vessel where the entire crew set upon her. She resisted valiantly, and made many of the fishermen pay for abducting her, but ultimately she was overpowered and taken ashore.

At first she was held in a tank in the shipyard where passersby could gawk at her. But her resentment toward the humans grew day by day. She did away with scores of sailors and fishermen, luring them near the tank where she was held with her siren's song, a haunting, beautiful melody that could not be ignored when heard. As each entranced listener came within her reach she would pull them below the water's surface, and he or she would never be seen again.

Eventually she managed to escape the tank by way of the drainage pipe at the bottom. She wriggled her way down through the sewers, unlikely as it might seem. She was loose in the community. Now she has become known to emerge in backyard swimming pools and remain there for quite some time, only moving on when she grows bored of her surrounding, or potential victims wise up and stop coming near.

If you were to inspect one of the pools she had been in, no doubt you find at least one clutch of eggs left behind...
