Sumiko is what many might consider, a perfect person. She nice, caring and outgoing in the extreme. She volunteers time at the local soup kitchen and animal shelters, spends time chatting with the sick and lonely at the hospitals.
As a young girl she had an abusive father, he would get drunk, come home, beat her senseless. On one of these nights, he beat her so badly that her hair lost its pigmentation, turning silver-white in color. She was never upset with him and eventually she was able to get the man to seek help, he stopped drinking, he stopped beating his daughter and is now an active member of society. She enjoys lunch with her father every week.
Unfortunately for Sumiko, volunteer work doesn't pay the bills and she does have to make a living somehow. The talented girl is a painter and musician, with an extremely popular touring exhibit. Each of her paintings gets it's own viewing room where she has her own personal songs playing background to her art. Some of the viewing rooms are said to be quite dramatic and life changing for some viewers and it makes her all the happier when she hears about how her art inspired someone to better their life. Her exhibit is known for not charging, taking only donations. She affords a comfortable living, most of the donation money is turned right back into her community, trying to improve the lives of those who need help.
