Sunlight

Please note: I am not this character, please do not treat me like it in OOC, ok? I mean this in the nicest possible way.

Name: Sunlight Moondark
Height: 4'11" (about 1.5m)
Sunlight Moondark. A strange pair of words, opposites by nature, and yet the name of a very mischievous gengar who can often be as cruel as his last name, yet he always goes by his first. He enjoys how ironic it is.
Actual sunlight doesn't hurt him, but he doesn't exactly like it, either, so at daytime, you'll most likely find him in a shadow bubble he creates himself, if not in actual shadow.

Of course, being a Gengar, he can do a multitude of strange and dark things, his vore types being very numerous. You'll have to be careful of this purple spook!
Rather than flying, Sunlight just tends to float in the air when not on the ground. He walks on thin air to "fly" around, and can recline in midair as if there was something there to support him.

Through practice, he learned to control an ethereal substance: black fire. This flame, somewhat akin to black lights but not exhibiting any effects of true UV-A light, in fact has other uses. Though it does not give off as much light as a white light would, the light it does give off can give ghosts and ghost-type pokemon such as Sunlight an actual shadow, where normally they wouldn't have one.
Again through practice, Sunlight was able to give his shadow sentience, though it still cannot talk. Sunlight can have his shadow eat someone else's shadow, and once it has, the owner of the eaten shadow will end up being teleported into Sunlight's stomach. Also, Sunlight's shadow can eat others without touching their shadows, either from the ground or by coming up out of it, becoming a solid entity with glowing, white, pupil-less eyes. However, Sunlight's shadow will always be connected to Sunlight himself.

More about black fires: Black fires can only be lit by ghosts and ghost-type pokemon. As a black fire does not give off heat, it does not need heat to keep going, but the rest of the "fire triangle" *is* still required. It needs oxygen, and it needs a source of fuel, even though it doesn't consume them. (It's pretty complicated when you think about it...)

Thanks to his scaring of Magical_Mindy, he now has a plushie form. However, he won't use this much, since the physical form is much more vulnerable; if someone gets a hold of him, he'll be all but defenseless, only able to use a tiny fraction of his powers. (Text will be a slightly lighter purple)

(If you noticed, his shadow is giggling in the picture. Yeah, it's hard to tell, but one of its arms is bent back towards where its mouth would be. Also, I made the eyes stand out as if they're glowing by mixing mediums; I did them in marker, even though the rest was colored pencil. I like the effect it makes. I like less how I tried to make the scene darker by shading it with normal pencil, though; simply because I now realize I half-assed it; I only did one "coat", so there's still too much white. Too bad I lost the original picture...)

Alignment: Chaotic Neutral

Looking for: A scene like the one in the pokemon anime; where Kiawe's marowak headbutted Acerola's Gengar and forced its way into its stomach... with a slight tweak. Instead of forcing their way in to Sunlight's belly, they'd instead be pulled in by the mischievous pokemon upon their attack as punishment.

A liked scenario: Sunlight disguises himself as the other character's shadow, says he "Doesn't like how they're doing things" and that he wants to switch places with them, so that *they'll* be the shadow! Of course, the only way to do that is to swallow them and "Absorb their physical form". Of course, none of this is true, and Sunlight's just trying to get them in his belly. Possibility for an upset if the other character just thinks all they have to do to make their "shadow" behave is to reconnect it by getting it into THEIR belly. (No upsets with human preds. Sorry. Also, Sunlight's own shadow may manifest in its physical form, as a way to sell the fact that he really IS your shadow; using it to say he "Got a Gengar to help")
Another scenario: A strange trainer appears; one who is very tall and imposing, dressed all in black... and who wears a baseball cap pulled low, (and maybe purple shades) covering his face in shadow. He only speaks one word when challenging another trainer: "Battle...". His team seems to consist of only one pokemon, as well, a gengar who comes out of his shadow to battle. During the battle, expect to have your mind accosted by telepathic messages directed straight at you... what a strange person.

Never/Dislike He doesn't really like to digest souls. He feels eating live prey is more fulfilling. That's not to say he isn't capable, though...
