Acadia Gamble's name is sort of perfect given her new form and how she got it.
Acadia was a solder assigned to work with
Quantum_Leap_Labs. They wanted to create a super soldier capeable of surviving in the Nexus. She gladly volunteered for the job and was soon working for a scientist named Joe Mulligan. Unfortunately for Acadia things went horribly wrong when another project in the lab went awry just as she was taking her super serum which was based on Termite DNA. While the doctors were busy dealing with the other situation Acadia foolishly overdosed herself hoping to increase the speed and strength she'd get from the project. With no one watching to stop her or the effects she bloated into the massive egg laying creature she is today! On the upside she can now create drones to serve her at an impossible pace. On the downside she can't stop producing drones to serve her at an impossible pace. Worried her egg production could overwhelm the lab and surrounding area she was immediately transfered to the Nexus where she wouldn't do as much harm.
Termite Queens lay about 30,000 eggs per day. This may make Acadia's life very interesting to say the least. Considering that means she'll have to lay an egg about every twenty seconds.
