Overseers...the culmination of everything that makes up the entirety of every single possible universe and reality. They have existed since pre-existence...bringing about all that is and ever will be in every single timeline, reality, and so forth. Without them, the world would be reduced to state of beyond nothingness and beyond even their own understanding. They exist everywhere and are always present whether one cares to notice or not.
Are they gods?
No. They are something beyond even the scope of that. They are beyond even the scope of the elder and outer gods from other dimensions. In short, there is no higher being than what they are and will ever be.
There was once something beyond nothing...since nothing really had not come into existence yet. Then came the Overseers...12 of them to be exact. They created their own selves and their corporeal bodies in order for others to see them and off course bestow upon the nothing a substance...then they created all realities as we know it. All universes. All possible histories and outcomes. It is all known to them. Every single life that exists they know of...but they each have their limits as each Overseer adheres to whatever role as Overseer they were gifted with.
Sylance is most prominent of the twelve, presiding over the major attributes of Light, Life, and Hope. Wherever there is light, Sylance is there. Whenever another life sprouts into existence, she is the cause. When one wants to achieve the impossible with willpower, she is there. She is the undisputed Overseer of Light who knows all...except for those touched by the opposing Overseer off Darkness, Kraevyalt. They were the first to institute the concept of Light and Dark. As such, they have had countless struggles in the forms of real world events of both the smaller and grander scales...yet neither side has ever pushed the balance of things. It is kept equal as it should be.
But that story is neither here nor there.
Sylance's name came from the world of Gaterria where they first revealed themselves to mankind, created by Sylance's hand herself with the name meaning "giver of the purity". She does have a true name but would take one until the end of every single reality's end to be able to fully pronounce it...not to mention Overseer names are known only to Overseers who can easily pronounce the name as casually as one addresses another on the street.
In any case, this grand Overseer of Light watches the daily activities of both regular humans and supremely powerful entities alike with curious intent. Overseers aren't ones to indulge in the lives of others...but are interested nevertheless to see what their own creations are capable of.
Sylance is the most curious of all besides her sister Overseer Roahilops. Moreover, she loves to give others a taste in new and exciting ways...and being an Overseer of Life, she can easily restore those she breaks down back to normal.....and only the truly wicked should be digested fully and completely..before Kraevyalt takes hold of them for his own desires.
Being female is but a favorite appearance of hers and can be any form she desires. In truth, she has no real gender and exists beyond those bounds...and merely just wants to fit in so that others are not intimidated by her true form.
Nevertheless, expect an encounter unlike any other when one contacts this Overseer. She'll be sure to bring to you a new light upon what being eaten is like.
