[A rare species of naga found deep underground in the Sahara and Kalahari.. They are born underground in the dark. The eggs are kept warm by emeralds, and rubies, and sapphires.. It is a mainly nocturnal creature having thick black puddles for eyes that can help them see in the dark. However if a lazulis naga spends enough time in the daylight their eyes can adjust. Their human half skin is mainly a soft cremeish color, while their snake half is the reason they have their name...
When in darkness, or daylight the scales on the tail of a lazulis naga seems to be a dark dark blue almost seeming black. However, it is when it emerges in the moonlight.. The scales seem to shimmer with little markings of stars and the blue turns into a radiant bright shade... The thickness of the scales makes the lazuli naga able to withstand temperatures of 500º F
The total length of the lazulis naga can vary from the small 10 feet stretched out, all the way to 64 feet... All though the length usually is determined by the amount they eat and how old they are.
Like most nagas the lazuli are both venomous and constrictors... The venom they have been gifted with is a very interesting sort. When injected the victim suddenly sweats overheating, and if left untreated they can become dehydrated as the venom saps all the water from there body. Kinda nasty fate. The lazuli only resorts to venom in extreme conditions. Most times it constricts its prey, and the lazuli are able to crush boulders to get at the gems inside, so just imagine how they can deal with bones.
The lazulis naga diet will consist of anything they can find lurking on the surface in the nighttime (or day) that they can fit in their gullet, and the lazulis naga can eat up to 1.3 to 3.5x its weight.~
