Sylvania was brought into this world as a Guardian spirit with the goal of guarding nature against destruction. She was assigned as a tundra guardian way up in the north of the continent and she soon found her job to be the most annoying one in the world as she only had to ward off the occasional lost evil spirit or watch over the few individuals that would come through her tundra, usually to go to another more interesting place. Being a magical being with an expertise in the life and earth/nature domain, Sylvia went against the rules about the balance of this world and tried her hand at summoning a companion to have someone to talk with... Her first attempt could be described as a pesky little mistake. She called him Scree.

Scree, as lovingly named by his summoner, was a demon that was created originally with the intent of possessing objects or moving them in the material plane to annoy or drive mortals crazy. His powers, earth-aligned, made him able to control man-made objects as well as natural ones like rocks or fallen trees and move them or even animate them. The first time he was summoned in the real world, he thought his time to shine had come, but he ended up within Sylviana's summoning circle. The Forest Guardian realized her mistake and tried to send the demon back, but Scree annoyed his mistress by using his magic to stick with her. Unable to send him back, Sylviana was forced to accept Scree as her first companion and with him, his tricks and his incessant blabbering.
After failing her first summoning and being unable to send Scree back, Sylviana decided to adopt the demon as her first pet. The little thing was full of tricks and sometimes would never cease to speak, but at least she had someone to keep her company and eventually, she grew to like his quirks, most of the time. The problem with a mischief demon is that they tend to do the opposite of what you want them to do. When Scree realized his mistress was happy, he started disappearing and ignoring her in the hopes of annoying her. Instead of playing into his games, Sylviana started a new summoning circle to fake calling a new companion to try and coerce the demon to speak to her again... Scree instead decided to infuse the summoning circle with his magic to actually make it work, to annoy Sylviana and also put her in trouble for the same reasons as before. That is when Cheveyo showed up to the party.
Cheveyo, the Earth Spirit

Cheveyo was a spirit animal originally in the shape of a wolf. He had been created with the goal of watching of the animals of a forest he would have been assigned to and guide them if need be against unnatural threats in the material plane or evil spirits in the spiritual plane. He would never serve his purpose as when his creation happened, so did the mixed summoning circle between Scree and Sylviana. The two magics tore Cheveyo from the spiritual plane and infused him with demon characteristics before summoning him in the material plane. Confused about his goal as his mind was altered, he figured that he was to protect Sylviana and Scree from harm and proceeded to do just so, becoming the third party member of this eccentric group.
At this point, Sylviana knew that she went above and beyond what she was supposed to used her powers for... She had to move elsewhere or else she'd be punished for literally breaking the balance in this world. After regrouping Cheveyo and Scree together, which wasn't an easy task for the demon, she casted a portal to teleport the whole group into a dimension where they'd be on their own and wouldn't cause problems... Until Scree decided that their destination wasn't of his likings and bumped it with a magic trick of his own. They appeared in a new dimension, one that seems both magical and unusual, one that doesn't seem to be affected by space nor time nor localization. This would have to do...
