Syrelsa is a Lamia in the most....noble...sense of the phrase. Her favorite past time is feeding on humans, and she cares to do little else.
Although she has met a few humans that she could describe as 'bearable', she hardly sees reason to let them live among her. However she does see them integral to her survival, as sustenence.
Syrelsa has been known to swallow down six or seven humans at once, as well as stuffing taking them into other...places to meet their demise.
While the term Lamia is technically correct, a better term to describe Syrelsa is Echinda. The main thing setting them apart from the common Lamia is an Echinda's ability to use magic. Their magic allows them to do anything from levitating their prey, to taking a different form themselves, should the situation call for it. However, the natural Echinda form is her preference, which she is going about her day in The Manor, she is forced to take on a more, human appearance in order to move about the building comfortably.
Her residence however at The Manor was not her own doing. A prideful Echinda such as herself would never dwell in a place created by humans willingly. Regrettably, The Manor offers her some protection, from a rival clan of Lamia that are after her for stealing their riches. Syrelsa was forced to surround her self with others in order to be able to stand a chance against just the sheer amount of Lamia in the rival clan. If she was able to of course, she would dispose of the occupants of The Manor and deal with the clan herself. In fact, the only bearable humans she knows are those that reside in The Manor alongside her.
Her stay at The Manor has not changed her mindset however. Regularly, she returns to her cave of riches, to ensure the protection of the sword that she had stolen, a sacred relic to the rival clan. It is during these moments that she takes the time to seek out human prey, devouring them in the stillness of the night.
