When asked about Tanja most people will describe her as a carefree, outgoing and beautiful woman. Some will voice the concern that she is too naive for her own good. Men will often also mention that she is arrogant and cold, while women call her charming and confident. Malicious tongues claim she is a terrifying monstrosity but such gossip seems to always fall silent very quickly.
She claims to be a traveling merchant dealing in expensive jewelry, but many suspect that is just a cover as she is seen more often gifting said jewelry to fair maidens than dealing with them.
Smart people are also wondering why she, despite always carrying valuable goods with her and traveling alone, never seemed to had issues with bandits and muggings, but those people are usually also smart enough to not dwell on such contradictions too deeply.
You wanna know how to spot her? That is easy. Look out for a woman that towers the humans around her by one to two heads, has beautiful long straight black hair, two horns on her head, a thick, muscular tail, and who’s arms and legs from the joints downwards are covered by fine scales. Her non-human features have a very dark brown to black color.
There are no eyewitnesses of her having a beast form.
Even though Tanja appears to be just in her late twenties to early thirties she is much older. How much older nobody knows for sure, but even in myriad small, secluded villages the elders will be able to tell you a story about a tall winged woman walking into their village when they were young children. As most of those stories present said woman as social and friendly unless provoked most citizen and town guard have only slight feeling of unease when such a domineering woman enters their city or village. And if those stories are not enough her buoyant amber eyes and amicable smile makes even the nervous ones calm themselves.
Recently, while she travelled through some woods, she saved a fay from a predator. Thankfully, the fay offered her to grant her a wish. Not really putting much thought into her words she ask the fay to make her nights with women even more enjoyable. After all, what could a little fay do for her she could not do herself. Little did Tanja knew, said fay was their race's queen, and fulfilled her wish in a way typically for her race of pranksters.
