Background
Teslyn Dulara is a young human enchantress that has just recently come into her own. Formerly apprenticed to a sorceress of some considerable talent, the slow pace of her education displeased the impatient Teslyn greatly. And so Teslyn did what any self-respecting young mageling would... go behind her teacher's back.

And so Teslyn would sneak into her mistress' library at night, after her chores were done. And she would delve into the books that her mistress would not allow her to, greedily and deeply. Her knowledge expanded rapidly, her power exponentially... but her ethics and judgement did not grow to match the responsibility of that power. Beginning to suspect what her apprentice had done, the Sorceress berated Teslyn, punishing her severely. Teslyn withdrew inwards, outwardly submissive but inwardly planning to overthrow her teacher and become her own master. And she already had the tools to do so, she only needed an opportunity.

Thinking the issue resolved, the Sorceress lowered her guard. And then, one night, her trusted apprentice crept into her bedroom, bound her with enchantments while she slept, and devoured her whole. It seemed a fitting punishment for the humiliation that Teslyn (felt) she had been forced to endure unjustly. As her former teacher digested, Teslyn gained fragments of her power. The realization of this only made her hungrier (metaphorically, at least), and her eye turned outwards.

Teslyn has since taken over the Sorceress' tower, making it her own. In her lust to expand her powers ever more rapidly, she has turned to the absorption of other living beings as her primary method of growth, because it is both quicker and easier then the traditional method of 'study'. The books take a lifetime (or more), but what Teslyn does condenses years of research into a few minutes of fun. She's become addicted to it, and now engages in hunts for more mundane humans recreationally.

Personality
Teslyn is an immature human in the prime of her youth, with high ambitions for herself but lacking a work ethic to match. Whatever Teslyn wants, she wants it now, and she doesn't want to work hard for it if she can get away with it. The hard road is not one she cares to walk and will take instant gratification over long-term gain almost ten times out of ten. She's developed something of an entitlement complex and as she gains power it only grows stronger as these various negative values are reinforced.

As her power grows in an unchecked, haphazard manner, she hasn't emotionally developed along with it in a safe and responsible manner. Rather, she's become increasingly arrogant, filled with pride at her 'accomplishments'. She's amused by her own 'cleverness', and spends a lot of time beforehand coming up with plots and plans to spring at a moment's notice. Which is good, because she's developing a growing list of enemies.

As a lesbian, Teslyn's preferred prey are other females, because she's come to enjoy 'playing' with them before she devours them. She makes a habit of summoning angels and demons to bind and consume because they are powerful, and barring those elves or other magical creatures, but has no compunctions about going after human wizards, or any girl that's pretty and can't run fast enough. She enjoys little cat and mouse games, thinking herself quite a skilled cat, and is only really happy anymore when dominating someone else in some fashion, whatever strange way it may be.

She's grown petty in her arrogance, and the rarity in which she forgets a slight (real or imagined) is only slightly more frequent then the rate at which she forgives a slight. And heaven forgive those that devour her, because she never will... and she'll be back.

But Teslyn, for all her rapid growth, is still ultimately a small fish in an extremely large pond. There are many entities out there more powerful then she, many wizards more experienced, and despite her intelligence, many normal humans able to simply out-wit her.

Spells And Powers
This list is dynamic, meaning that as Teslyn RPs and consumes victims, it will grow larger and more diverse based on who or what she consumes.

Devourment: Teslyn's most important ability, she's able to consume her prey in a variety of ways, magically enhancing herself to allow her jaw to dislocate, or her various orifices to accommodate human-sized creatures in ways that nature never intended. After prey is digested, Teslyn gains some small part of their power or knowledge, though she has no control over what she gets and what she ends up with is generally a pale reflection of the original. Most of the time this manifests as a new spell, if anything at all.

Phylactery: Teslyn fears her own demise, though she's too proud to actively admit it to herself, and has already taken steps to prevent it. To this end, she has, secreted away, a phylactery that holds her soul. In the event of her demise, she will reincorporate near it within fourty-eight hours... and usually be furious, to boot.

Sleep: A classic fundamental, and vitally important. Casting opponents into magical slumber is Teslyn's go-to defense against hostiles, because she prefers her foes helpless. Fair fights are for fools.

Light Binding: Another important spell, Teslyn can bind her foes in chains of pure light. Very handy for trussing foes up for swallowing, or for 'fun' beforehand.

Force Shield: A simple disk of pure force, Teslyn can use it to block many attacks... though it isn't omni-directional. Additionally, it takes effort to maintain, and a powerful enough strike can pierce right through.

Magic Missile: The old stand-by, Teslyn keeps Magic Missile prepared as an offense of last resort, when nothing else is working and her life is threatened.
