Thane was raised in an orphanage since he was a baby. He was found on the doorstep with a note revealing nothing but his name.
He was raised by the monks among the other children, though he was often teased for the unique redish color of his eyes, a trait he had since birth.
He learned the basics of self-defense and is somewhat trained in botany and hunting, both basic skills of survival in his village.
When he was thirteen, there was an incident involving him and a few bullies around his age, leading to bullies sustaining severe injuries.
He has no recollection of what happened, but as a result he was exiled from the town. He spent his time living in the surrounding woods, putting his knowledge of herbs and hunting to the test.
He's been living in the woods surrounding the village for about five years, staying near to the village in case his real family returns.
When he is focused, is able to sneak at high speeds without making a sound, a trait directly resulted from his unknown hertage. He is also an expert climber.
