Not so for Lilyadi.
She brings both the tales of warriors past and her own spear and shield to the frontlines alongside her brothers and sisters. Her throaty chants are the drums of war, the clash of weapons her instruments, and the screams of the dead and dying her accompaniment. No lute or drum backs her voice, for she needs nothing other than her shield and spear. These are the instruments with which she forges new tales, wins glory for her clan, and brings home the spoils of war for her people.

She does not lead the warbands or the raiding parties. She is no leader. But she is the backbone of their morale, pushing them ever forward with promises of valhalla, reminding them of their proud lineage and of the men and women who came before them.
