WORK IN PROGRESS

The border kingdoms of the land of Kaldor are often the subject of much turmoil; political unrest among the people and the military, invading provinces, and, of course, the devilish monsters of the land. It is for this reason that many sovereigns find themselves reigning for a short period of time...Most of them, anyway. There are always exceptions! The king of the province of Kaleed, however, has reigned for a solid ten years and counting. Many attempts on his life, by man and beast alike, have been made, and they all ended in failure. His secret? A special group of elite guardswomen known as The Lord's Guard.

Recruited from areas all around Kaldor, these seven Brave Warriors will give anything, including their lives, to protect their king. Dare you face them?

Name: Lillian
Origin: Highlands region
Age: 22
Height: 5' 4"
Hair: Brunette
Weapon: Two-handed sword

Description
--------------

Lillian is a brunette of about average size, which makes a rather large contrast with the massive sword she carries. She usually has her hair braided into pairs behind her, lacking any sort of helmet to get in their way. She has softly-scattered freckles around her nose, and her eyes are an odd violet color, a rare shade which would make her coveted valuable wife for a nobleman if she had not chosen the path of the blade. Her bust size is respectable, as is the curve of her behind, but certainly nothing amazing.

History
----------

Born in the Highlands region of Kaldor, Lillian was raised poverty, as is to be expected in that area; The highlands are mainly a scattered mess of poor villages, often beset by bandits and highwaymen, with the nobles in the area living in gated fiefdoms, mainly concerned about their own wellbeing rather than that of their people. And so, like many highlanders, Lillian was likely to die at a young age, from starvation or from violence.

Fortunately (her own luck is something that she often acknowledges), her father happened to be the blacksmith of the village she was raised in. Because of this, at an early age she had access to weapons. When her brother died at the hands of a nearby bandit group, the Red Paw, Lillian swore revenge. At merely twelve, she stole a sword from her father's workshop, and set out to claim it. Lillian was untrained in the use of a blade (though her opponents were not much better off, the foul brigands!), and thus she knew she'd easily be overwhelmed and struck down. So under the cover of night, she visited the bandits camp, sneaking about it and slaying each and every one of them.

It was after her bloody retribution had been carried that she realized that what she had done was far greater than just serving her own personal anger; with those bandits dead, no one would ever again be threatened by them. Leaving home, she began to travel the highlands, killing bandits as she found them, taking the law into her own hands as no one else cared for it. Along the way, she learned the art of swordplay from adventurers and pilgrims. It's said that by the time she turned the age of 16, violence in the highlands was greatly decreased.. And her skills with the blade were unprecedented for someone of her age. But with the presence of bandits so lessened, she knew her efforts would be better served now in other places.

For the next four years, Lillian worked as a mercenary, doing the bidding of the kings and queens of Kaldor. It was not until she came to the kingdom of Kaleed, however, that she came to the decision that she had found a ruler that in no way reminded her of those evil bastard noblemen from her homeland. She joined the Kaleedian military, quickly rising through the ranks until she finally found her place among The Lord's Guard.

Personality
----------------

Lillian is one of the most loyal of The Lord's Guard, serving her king out of sheer love for him, his policies, and the chance he gives her to punish the forces who would subject their will on the world in a harmful way. She is also the most recently joined. When carrying out an official duty she is firm and solemn, but nevertheless if the mission allows it she won't hesitate to help people in need.

When facing an opponent, her reaction depends on the type; she has absolutely no mercy for evil monsters, and especially not for bandits, and will attempt to cut them down without question. She will show some tact when it comes to more exotic villans such as elves, noblemen, or demons, but witnessing them doing wrong will put her on a hair trigger.

When it comes to sexual propositions, Lillian is able to be convinced, but it won't be as easy as some of her comrades; many young women in the Highlands region resort to becoming prostitutes to make ends meet, and Lillian is quite proud that she had never gone that path. Getting her to play sexually will require either extreme trust on her part, mind control, or force.

Her accent is thick, and equatable to what you would think of as scottish ((Note: For the sake of my own sanity I will not attempt to type this out while playing as her)), which would get her some ridicule if she wasn't such a respected knight.

Name: Azel
Age: 29
Origin: Mountains of Maum
Height: 8' 5"
Hair: Red
Weapon: Warscythe

Description
--------------

Towering taller than any of the other members of the Guard, Azel is an imposing figure to be sure; she's much taller than the average Kaleedian woman as well. Her hair is a soft strawberry, a mark of caste superiority in the mountainous region from which she hails, and she lets it grow to about medium length, at her shoulders. Her figure is impressive for someone of her strength, possessing muscle but still keeping quite slender and lovely, with powerful thighs and breasts that could take the air out of a man's lungs (especially if his face ended up buried in them!) She wears beautifully decorated armor from her homeland, made mainly of bronze, integrated with a red dress beneath it.

History
---------

The first of The Lord's Guard to join, the scythemistress Azel was born in the mysterious mountain villages of Maum; this area is rarely traveled by anyone save the hardiest of merchants due to the eternal raging winter that seems to cover the area surrounding the mountains. People that come from this area are always unfailingly quite tall (Azel is only slightly above the average height of her people), leading to a rumor that they are the offspring of humans mating with giants, a viewpoint that the people of the mountains do not at all appreciate.

As was traditional in her village, upon reaching the age of ten, Azel began combat training as all children did. Many powerful monsters roamed the mountains, and to have any hope of surviving the hostile environment they were being raised in, they had to learn to fend them off. Most girls would only train for about three years before it was no longer mandatory; boys would continue for a while longer and often be enlisted in the village militia. However, Azel was different... Unlike most girls that dropped out as soon as they were able, she stuck to martial training. At sixteen, she was the first girl to join her village's militia.

At age seventeen, an event happened that changed her life entirely; a frost dragon attacked the village. The beast went on a rampage, destroying everything in its path. The militia stepped up to defend the townspeople, but were all struck down. Every last warrior fell to claws or the freezing breath of the dragon, except for Azel. She awoke amidst corpses and ruins. This event left her with a bitter hatred towards dragons, and she distrusts even the kindest of their ilk.

Leaving her home, the girl became a travelling warrior. She would move from town to town in the lower regions of Kaldor, challenging anyone brave enough to face her, winning their money, and using it to keep moving and eating. For a solid year, she had been undefeated and become notorious in the borderlands.. Until one day, in the kingdom of Kaleed, a nobleman challenged her. Lithe and feminine, he seemed to be easy prey.. And yet, with nothing but a rapier, he soundly defeated the towering Azel. Rather than taking her money, however, he made a revelation to her; he was, in reality, the prince, and soon to be king of Kaleed. He offered her a place by her side and, fascinated with this man who seemed so weak and yet fought so well, she gladly accepted it. Thus began The Lord's Guard.

Personality
-------------

Azel is a woman of few words. The people of Maum speak a language different than common Kaldorian, so she has had to learn the language as she goes. Therefor, to avoid sounding like a simpleton of some kind, she only speaks when she needs to. In reality, she sounds less stupid and more overly-direct and formal due to being around nobility most of her adult life.

Azel is strong; very strong. She has little respect for weaklings, and can be quite rude to people she deems cowards. Though protecting the kingdom is present in her mind, she is mainly concerned with the life of the king. This ties into the likelihood of sexual encounters with Azel as well; the gorgeous woman is not going to have sex with someone unless she finds them equal to her in some way. She respects strength; With someone strong enough, she would even do it out of principle with them if they requested it.

Name: Elendia
Age: 18
Origin: Kaleed native
Height: 4' 9"
Hair: Blonde
Weapon: Two handed sword

Description
--------------

Elendia is one of the more busty, shapely members of the Guard, and her outfit does little to distract anyone from that fact. Her breastplate shows off her ample cleavage, and her greaves are blackless, leaving her rear out for anyone lucky enough to be behind her to get a nice long glimpse at! Her skin is milky pale, obviously regal, and her hair is blonde and set into twintails, just like Lillian's. All in all, a blonde bombshell body for the biggest ditz among the Lord's Guard.

History
--------
Elendia has quite a different background compared to most of the other members of The Lord's Guard, no less extraordinary, but from circumstance more than anything: Elendia is the only daughter of the king of Kaleed, and the rightful princess of the kingdom.

At a young age, it became clear to her father that she was quite unsuited for life as a princess, however; at bedtime, she would always want to hear stories of valor and brave knights fighting dragons and ogres. Rather than playing with dolls, she would steal toy swords from the castle's other children and pretend she was going off an adventure. When she turned fifteen, she demanded her father to allow her to join the Kaleed military, or she would run away with the first sleazy bard she could find to another kingdom. The king decided to yield to her orders, but with an exception: she would not be joining the regular military, but The Lord's Guard, so that his best warriors could keep an eye on her. This brings her in to being the second-newest addition to the roster.

Personality
---------------

Predictably, Elendia is not a very good fighter. She lead a pampered lifestyle and is more interested in the romantic features of adventuring rather than the practical ones. For this reason, she's extremely naive and easily manipulable; she's also a bit slutty, and it doesn't take a lot of convincing to get her on her knees; you just have to make it sound romantic and appealing!

She's gone through training in four different weapons styles since she joined the Guard, and is now being trained in the use of the two-handed sword by Lillian. Lillian is quite protective of her, even if she is accepting of the princess' dirty ways. If you're planning to gobble or slay Elendia, you'll likely have to go through Lillian first if she's in the scene.

Name: Celin'ara
Origin: Eldertear Forest
Age: 1033
Height: 5' 0"
Hair: Brunette
Weapon: Elven broadsword

Description
----------------

Celin'ara, or Celin as she prefers to be called, is rather short for an elf, which usually grow to be somewhat tall for humans. However, this does not make her appearance any less stunning. Her skin is of a slightly semi-reddish hue, not quite a tan, not quite human at all really. She keeps her hair long, usually having it much more messy than your typical elf, with her long ears sneaking out from beneath it. Her outfit is one that accentuates her curves, one thing about Celin that -is- typical of elves, which works out well because she is quite buxom. In fact, it doesn't cover much at all- she dresses light so as not to impede her movement in combat.

History
---------

The elves of Kaldor are rather notorious for the seedy lifestyle that many of them lead; elves are a very physical people, and casual sex is not uncommon among them. Not only that, but crime runs rampant in elven society to the point where it's almost commonly accepted. Celin'ara likes to distance herself from other elves; however, there are some parts of her past that she can't escape.

Celin'ara grew up in the Eldertear forest, the closest elven community to the borderlands, and always felt like a misfit among the corrupt adults that she was subjected to from a young age. Not very well-liked in her community due to her independence and unwillingness to follow tradition, it quickly became clear to her that she would have to leave home to find happiness. At 400, considered the coming of adulthood for an elf, she left home, abandoning the surname of "'ara" that she was given, going by the name Celin ever since.

Many of Celin's exploits over her long life have been long forgotten, and she rarely discusses them, but at the age of 1000, she came to the metropolis of Albarant, the largest city in the borderlands. Quickly, she found herself in a setting much like the one she had left; crime run rampant. Albarant has an enormous gap between the upper class and the lower class, with the only in-between being the gigantic criminal community. Due to lack of money, she fell in with the very thing that she hated, and found herself the bodyguard of a member of one of the largest crime families in Albarant. Not only that.. But she found herself in love.

She spent the next 23 years with the man, both serving with him, and secretly seeing him on the side. To the rest of the gang, and more importantly to the man's wife, she seemed just a loyal bodyguard. But, as all affairs do, it eventually fell apart, and their longtime relationship was uncovered by an underling which informed the man's wife. Infuriated, she pulled strings of her own within the organization.. And, quickly, Celin found herself betrayed and captured.

She was sold into slave labor, torn away from the one she loved and thrust into bondage. Weeks later she was purchased at an auction by a man from the distant kingdom of Kaleed. She would quickly learn, however, that this man wasn't interested in a sex slave as the auction had been intended, but rather was in the market for a bodyguard. And that he was no man.. But a king.

Technically a slave to the king, but never treated like one, Celin serves the king faithfully. Though she has gotten over the loss of the man she loved, deep in her heart, she still longs for vengence against the woman that had had her captured.

Personality
--------------

Celin has an alarmingly rough manner of speaking for an elf, which usually come off as snooty and regal; This is, of course, due to all her time spent in the criminal underworld and among humans. Nevertheless, she's generally harmless to the average person unless they piss her off.. And she has more of a temper than her comrades do, for the most part

In regards to sex, Celin is rather easy to tempt, as most elves promised a good time are, as long as it isn't made out to be anything more than that; a good time. Celin isn't in the market for a husband or a lover, she's been down that road and found it to be not all it was cracked up to be.

Name: Doria
Origin: Kaleed native
Age: 36
Height: 6' 6"
Hair: Pale blonde
Weapon: Executioner's Axe

Description
---------------
A rather tall woman, Doria is quite imposing even without knowledge of her rather frightful occupation. She is a mature woman with not only deadly curves but a decent amount of muscle tone as well. Her skin is remarkably pale nevertheless and never seems to change color regardless of exposure to the sun while wearing her less-than-flattering outfit. She is rarely seen without a rosebud adorning her hair; some may find this romantic, but in Kaleed, the rose is a symbol of death and passing.

History
-----------

Before the birth of the current king of Kaleed, Doria was a retainer of the previous queen of the land...however, her position was not that of royal bodyguard. All throughout the land, she was known and feared under many names: Lady of Thorns, The Princess of Blades, and others. This was, of course, rather fantastical names that went along with her grisly job as public executioner.

Throughout the reign of the old queen, from the age of nineteen or so, Doria was the one who held the axe which loomed over the chopping block in the bloody court square. Blackguards and traitors were her domain, and they were shown no mercy as they were mercilessly slain under royal orders. And among their brethren, tales spread of not only the coldness in which she carried out her duty, but also the infinite coldness that dwelt within the heart of a woman who bore neither reluctance nor shame to carry out her job.

What they did not know was that beneath all of this blood and smoke was a loving soul who had known little else but loyalty to ones' monarch. Her father before her had been the royal headsman, and his father before him. Being born into a long line of executioners seemed to be terrible fate, but Doria perservered to continue to serve the monarchy that she loved, and despite the cruelness of the old queen, she came to love it as well (partly out of need so that she could live with the act of killing).

Years later, when the young prince became the current king, Doria was shocked to say the least when one of his first declarations was the utter abolishment of public execution. However, it was hardly a negative shock. In fact, Doria felt free for the first time in her life; no longer would she stand before the people and make death a public spectacle.

However, she confessed that in the end, death was all that she knew. She begged for the opportunity to serve the king, and he granted her a coveted position within his special bodyguard that was being formed at the time. Now, she would be able to use her skills to protect rather than to simply destroy. Free and true to herself, she came to love the king, not out of need, but with all of her heart.

Personality
-----------------
Many know the tales of the cold, dark heart of Doria the Lady of Thorns. However, those that meet her would find that these tales are for the most part utterly unfounded. More than anything, she maintains a motherly attitude; she is the oldest human on the team, and feels very much as if she has a duty to teach her comrades about loyalty when they need to be reminded of it.

A rather unpleasant side-effect of all of this, however, is that Doria has a hard time distinguishing the grim from the gleeful. She can occasionally segue into such subjects as the inevitably of death and the loss of time and love and it ends up being more of a downer for her friends than anything. Still, she tries to keep an upbeat attitude.

In regards to sex, Doria is actually rather experienced as she has husband (also much to the shock of many people who have heard stories of her). Their relationship is quite open, however, as he is impotent and she desires to bear children before it is too late for her. It will take some getting to know her, however, as she is quite loyal to him...

Name: Eliwyn
Origin: Borderlands of Kaldor
Age: 23
Height: 5' 7"
Hair: blonde
Weapon: Longsword and parrying blade, various holy implements

Background
----------------

The Paladins of Yeran are an ancient order that underwent many troubling times in the past. Servants to the primordial creator god Yeran and eternal enemy to demons and undead, they were founded in ancient times, sometime afterthe Age of Innocence ended and before the gods left the world. After the departure of the gods, the people began to lose faith en masse and before long the proud paladin order laid in ruins. This was, of course, until the sole remaining warrior of the order brought peace back to the land and defeated the dark machinations of the God of Chaos as well as an even greater peril.

Since then, the Paladins have flourished with the return of faith in the world. They have become so great that as a unit they have parted from the primary church of Yeran and became their own separate entity, dedicated to keeping peace and eliminating evil creatures from across the land. However, there are rumors that the core of the order has become corrupt over time. Eliwyn, tragically, is a victim of that "rumor"

Initially a member of a mission of paladins in the chaotic borderlands of Kaldor, where much more dangerous creatures dwell more freely, Eliwyn was another rank and file warrior in the ranks of her squad. They were entrusted to protect a village that had been under siege by vicious trolls. However, once she arrived, she found her teammates to be a lot more complacent about the problems of the people than she was; indeed, the paladins attract many who wish to live a life of violence but have free reign to do so under the name of an organization, tragically. Her comrades had little problem with extorting food and money from the townspeople.

When Eliwyn objected on the grounds of faith, she found herself quite outnumbered by her mercenarial teammates. They promptly subdued her and left her for dead in the wilderness of the borderlands. When she somehow managed to escape that situation, she found that her teammates had not only abandoned the village they were supposed to protect, but they had reported to the central Paladin authority that she was in fact a traitor and heretic. As this charge brings death to those accused, Eliwyn fled.

Traveling the land, the wayward paladin did what she could for the people she met; healing using her miracles, fending off dangerous monsters... Anything that she could. And, staying true to the tenants of the paladins, she did it for free. And eventually, these travels led her to the city of Kaleed.

She set out to do her good works once again, healing those who needed her. However, this time, her good works were noticed by people in a position of power; specifically the king, who met her personally one day when returning from a hunting excursion with a wounded Lillian. After healing Lillian, he offered her a large sum of riches; she of course, refused. Fascinated, he asked her her story... And upon learning of the trouble she had had, offered her a position in which she could do good with a royal backing: a position as a member of his personal guard. She gladly accepted, under the condition that she could still continue her activities of healing and purifying on the side.

Personality
---------------

Incredibly pious, Eliwyn is dedicated to the tenants of Yeran; do no harm save to those who wish to harm, and help all in need. Those who break these tenants will earn her ire and likely quite a tongue-lashing. Though young, she can come off as beyond her years and indeed even a bit snooty.

However, she isn't entirely stuck up; indeed, Eliwyn is a bit airheaded and has a hard time operating with people who are unfamiliar with her clergy beyond trying to recruit them to be members of the church. When you get down to it, trying to get her to talk about herself can be adorably difficult due to how much stock she puts into her job as a warrior of the gods.
