It is unknown as to where these beings came from.
Are they some sort of newly evolved organism that has gone undiscovered until now?
Are they a being from outer space looking to expand?
That is unknown...
But one thing that is known...
They are here to breed.
Scientists have been experimenting and dissecting these strange creatures that range from miniature slug looking specimens, to ones that are nearly 100' tall. But the more they discover, the more questions that arise.
But they also found that these strange creatures cannot mate with one another. If they are simply left alone, they wither and die.
Through much more experimentation, the strange creatures have been found to be capable of reproducing in one single way.
By finding a host.

While some of these creatures lay eggs in their victims, the majority will crawl inside.
